I've never seen him angry before. Kinda slow with lectures and may get you sleepy. He often provides proofs to formulas and such, which is very very useful. Good amount of homework. Some say his tests are hard; the tests are of fair difficulty, I think. Just practice and expect some algebraic problems.

he's really nice but all he does is proofs of equations in class. i feel for him though; i guess he's getting tired of teaching. his tests are basic but even then it's still hard without further explanations. good thing the textbook is good though.

Bad teacher, good grader. His lectures are muddy at best and he assigns a ton of homework not taken from the required textbook. His exams are the hardest youll ever see but it is open notes and he scales the grades so get a 30-50% per test and you can pass...

I love physics but I can't learn from this guy. His lectures have nothing to do with solving problems and he isn't familiar with the class textbook. He assigns homework from a textbook that we don't have.

Terrible lectures. Only derives proofs and very little practice problems in class. Not test reviews. Grades on a curve. I got a 3.5 but my test scores were 56/100 , 72/100, 36/100 and 98/200 on the final. Do not take any classes from this prof if at all possible.

Lectures are very dry and he doesnt explain alot. Expects you to know things he hasn't covered. He curves the class, which is nice. However, he makes learning the material very difficult and I really wanted to learn the concepts. Proceed at your own risk!

He definitely knows what he's talking about, but he wasn't always good at teaching it to the class... I usually had to read the book for another explanation. His tests are open book though, and they aren't very hard.

wow, this guy is crazy. for one, he teaches out of a different book than what we are required to purchase. Then, he gives us homework problems from the book that we don't have and he expects us to know material that we havent covered in class, and material that isnt covered in our textbook. Very frustrating experience.

He is really friendly but always seems flustered. Everything I have learned so far I learned through hours spent reading the book on my own after class. Tests are impossible and things he writes on the board have almost NO connection to what we are supposed to be learning in the book. His curve grading is very nice though.

Very nice guy. Use his office hours...he grades on a curve so even hard tests probably don't end up burning people too badly

I thought that I almost failed his class, but apparently not, thanks to the class low average too that I could get the extra credit. Actually, his test based on what he wrote on the board, so it is a MANDATORY to attend his class and write all available notes, because all the test I think is based on his notes. Kinda tricky, enjoy!! :)

A good professor, but he is kind of absent minded. Sometime he'll begin explaining one problem and get of track on some other tangent.

I had him for Physics 121 and 122. I thought he was prety good. His practice tests are very much like the real ones. So, exams are not so hard. Homework can be a challenge at times, but not often. Would take him again any time.

Took 221, 222 with him, very nice guy, he is great at teach 221 but 222 is just fine (electricity is very hard to explain in the frist place) so you may have to rely on book more. but do your homework and practice exams on the web site and you should be ok.

He is the best physics teacher in the college. I strongly recommend him. Grades are easy and he explains clearly, although tests are tough. Great teacher. He is also very kind and helpful.

I took 201 and 202 with him. I regret that I could not take the 203 because it collided with my CSC class. Not very clear, but he was so nice and kind. He won't grade hard on labs and HWs too. His exams, although sometimes not easy, are not time consuming. You should always have enough time to finish up the exams. People just dunno how great he is.

You will learn nothing from him, everything is I must learn by myself and the test is so Hard. Dun expect to learn anything from him, If you know nothing about the PHY202 before take PHY202, you should choose someone else.

Never knew my grade throughout the class. Tests are extremely hard however he lets you have open note and open book. Do not take this class unless you have a great understanding of physics.

201-203. Tests are university hard but class is curved. Years of experience and he loves physics. Focus on exams. He usually provides practice exams...study them
