Very Biased teacher. If you are not a music teacher, good luck with getting help. If i had a question after class, he would tell me to look it up in the text book. The class may have been interesting if he didn't teach it. Tests were hard to study for as a lot of the material wasn't covered in class. Self taught class.

I HATE HIM I HATE HIM I took his other music course last semester and I dont know why I have put myself through this again! You teach yourself! and one class missed, you get a letter, The classes make you want to slit your wrists and he brings out an anger in you that you never knew was possible! I hate that Guy! This guy is a lazy prof who makes more mistakes on quizes and exams. Be prepared to teach yourself when he doesn't have time to teach 8 chapters and is too lazy to write a new exam. What a waste of 3 hours!!!

Inconsistent evaluation and poor lecturing skills. Perhaps not a bad guy, but an ineffective educator. For those whining that it is "not an English course", shut up and learn to spell and write. It should be every educator's effort to insist on proper use of language in written submissions. Besides, employers WILL notice so learn now.

music 118 was brutal. picture this: it's wednesday night, the lights are dimmed in NH138, and you are watching and listening to THREE FREAKING HOURS of tribal african drummers dance around half naked. it's not even the least bit entertaining, and it's too loud to fall asleep. exams are simple multiple choise, but sooo not worth the headaches.

He really shouldn't be allowed to teach this course, he ruins any chance of it being interesting. He teaches in a really biased way and doesn't know how to lecture in an effective way so that we are able to cover all the material. I don't think its worth taking unless you can get another prof.

He is the most unfriendly and least helpful prof I have had at X. He makes midterm and exam multiple choice. It's unfair becuase students who study don't do much better than those who don't. The paper was marked fairly, but he wasn't helpful with students questions on it. However, it IS a very interesting course if your willing to teach yourself.

Another prof trying to make his class seem important and tough by handing out bad grades. The marks on the papers are a joke as he goes out of his way to give terrible grades based on grammar and english. Odd how a music essay gets a lower grammar grade than an english class essay....

This guy really knows how to take a subject that is extremely interesting and reduce it to a dull and bothersome waste of time. The tests are easy (multiple choice) but watch out for his paper. He'll make it seem like a walk in the park it's not.(ie. most ppl got under 60% many got in the 40's)

I though Terry had two hearing aids and I would always talk loud when I talked to him, yelling even. But then i realized that they weren't hearing aids, but rather space age ear pluges that helped plug his ears from alien radio waves that brainwash you when your on the can make soft serve.....

Really great guy, I liked his sense of humor. I enjoyed World Music. The exams aren't hard if you know the definitions. I mean, it's multiple choice! I would definitely reccomend this course.
