Awful teacher .. very unorganized .. really a waste of my tuition money.. as I could have easily read out loud to the class from the lab manual just like she did! never arrived early nor was prepared for labs & blamed lab technicians when she should have arrived on time to make sure we were all set to go.

Take her if you just need a Science gen ed... if you need to go on to Anatomy or Microbiology - do yourself a giant favor and take Sykes, anyone else. You do not learn the basic principles of Biology - you learn how to study from a study guide given to you weeks in advance. Poor organization. Nice woman, means well, but does not teach well.

It seems to me that she comes to class unprepared. Totally scatterbrained and reading the handout she gives us at the same time we do. As though she's never seen it. She's definitely not given any thought to what she's covering for the day and how she'll cover it. The notes on the board are all OVER the place. Totally annoying.

this class was tough- make sure you study her handouts, half of the questions on her test are from then. keep track of your own grade unless you can wait till grades post at the end of the semester. she cares about her students, you dont really get the concept but enough to do well for the test. study hard and the book is needed for your own good.

Very scatterbrained! Class was easy as long as you took notes, textbook was pointless since all the exam questions came from lecture. Class was very boring, never anything to look forward to. Thankfully we had a different teacher for lab!

She makes the materials very easy, sometimes too easy that you won't be able to understand it in detail. If you're majoring in health related field, you really need a fundamental knowledge of physiology. Even you get an A in her class, doens't mean that you know any about phsio.

This professor means well but her class is super boring. She gets frazzled when you try to ask her questions. Do not bother buying the book. If you take good notes that should be enough to get a good grade in the class. I do not like Biology at all and still got an A in this class.

She was a great prof. She is very clear in what is expected of you and understands that we aren't all bio majors. I took a class that was only 1 1/2 hours and it went by pretty quick. She tries really hard to make sure her students understand and is really willing to help!

I was not looking forward to bio, but she made it basic and interesting by relating it to today's issues. Recommend for non-science types. The study guide questions are the answers on tests. I took it in 6 week summer session. Isn't strict re: lab results.

She is easy but hard. Very boring and disorganized. Hard to follow in lecture because you want to fall asleep waiting to move on. Very smart lady, but she shouldn't be teaching without people skills. She gets made fun of a lot :(

Great class, just show up take notes on lecture, and study them along with the study guide. You will get an A if you pay attention and review your notes. Dont buy the book I didn't. Highly recomend!!

Did anymone else notice the smell on her breath? She is very confusing, and all over the place, however her test are very easy if you can somehow make since of what she discussed during the lecture. THe one thing I did like about her class, was how she related alot of the info to differnet diseases that you will learn more about in future classes.

Disorganized lectures, doesn't follow any pattern ie..body systems, micro to macro ect or even go in the order of her own study guide... or the book (waste of money) so you can't study on your own if you miss anything in class. Too many handouts & they are somewhat confusing and always on the test! My first B in college - had all A's! If you like

Her notes are a little jumbled. But her study guide is basically the whole test & she goes over it w/ you throughly, so tests are easy to study for. Lab quizzes are tough.
