Class was interesting! Readings were mostly light and easy. We had a few big papers and many smaller assignments to buffer the grade. I will say her midterm and final were HARD. Study up on every little thing, cause it all counts. Overall, though, she is a sweetheart (even brought us snacks sometimes)! Highly recommend her.

She was extremely hard to please. Would give you advice, then take off points for doing EXACTLY what she told you to do. Tell you that you should have done something closer your original idea. When I asked her why she took off 12 points, she said "It just didn't feel like an A paper".

I took this class as a follow up to Intro to Children's Lit because I loved Dr. Rosenberg and the top of children's literature was fascinating to me. She relies heavily on written assignment assignments and is a VERY tough grader. But, if you go into office hours, show up, read and pay attention you can easily get a B or an A.

Rosenberg is a really nice woman. She seems almost motherly to her students. The class isn't too difficult, just make sure to do the readings and reading questions. There will also be quizzes on the readings. They aren't difficult if you actually read. I like her class, a little boring at times but it wasn't too bad.

She's a tough grader but she really cares about her students. She's very passionate about what she teaches and makes it easy for people who don't major in English to understand to really get into what she's talking about

I loved her class. She gave really interesting assignments, but be prepared for a lot of essays. She wants to help so I would recommend going to her office hours! They always helped my essays go up probably one letter grade.

She is very nice and her class is interesting, but I have never thought I would spend 4-6 a week reading and writing when I took this class. She grades WAY too hard. period. If you want to take children's lit for an easy class, DON'T DO IT. you will seriously regret it. This class has made me SO burnt out of this semester.

You couldn't ask for a better prof. She provides clear, precise instructions and excellent helpful feedback on all your work. She really wants her students to succeed and goes to incredible lengths to help them do that. She's both approachable and agreeable, and she makes the topic very interesting. You must take at least one course with her!

She's the most dedicated teacher I have EVER encountered. She's a tough grader, but works so hard to make sure you understand your mistakes and how to improve. If you work hard, participate in discussions, and make a genuine effort, you can make a good grade in her class and learn A LOT about your own writing.

I took Canadian Lit with her and really enjoyed her class. I just graduated and looking back, I can easily say she was the best professor I had. Not "easy" but wants you to succeed, and above all she helped me improve my writing immensely. She picks fun and interesting readings. She's insightful and appreciates a hard worker. Take a class from her!

I thought this class was supposed to be Children's Lit. Instead it felt more like a composition class. She's really nit picky about format, even on reading questions (which she never told us we didn't have to type the question), 2 essays with work cited page, MLA format, right structure, etc. She's the boring side of english.

Clear-minded, energetic, intelligent, genuine - a hard grader for sure, but she offers constructive feedback above and beyond the call of duty. Anyone with grad school plans should try to take Rosenberg.
