A little out there but overall a friendly woman. Quiz before each class and its not unlocked until you do the previous ones leading to it. Attend lectures, questions from the quizzes are heavily in the lecture and reading. Pay attention, she's quick to call you out on a phone and grades for professionalism too.

She was just so-so. I took her for an online 8-week class. You HAVE to do the reading. Keep up w/ due dates because if you miss one you may not get to move on in the class, The way her class is on blazeview was bizarre; content is only available after ALL previous content has been viewed/attempted. No tests, she does Dialogic Journals instead.

She wasn't an awful professor, but she wasn't amazing either. Tons of quizzes, a quiz for every class. Does offer extra credit and it saved my life. Grades by point system so a good grade is possible, especially with extra credit. She's a little odd, but if you need help she does help during office hours. thought i was failing. i have and A.

This class is super tough, readings and quizzes everyday, critical analysis journals and she tends to get off topic. But if you do your work, read, LOOK UP WORDS YOU DON'T KNOW, speak in class and go over the handouts and go to class (as miss three and you fail) you'll come out with an A, she grades strictly but fairly. Awesome lady though.

Grading is very strict and it is very difficult to meet her expectations in such a short time. This class is the hardest class I've ever taken and you have to be 100% focused and re-read every assigned reading. Professor also likes to get off subject and talk about her self pretty often so be prepared. Still a very smart teacher and friendly woman.

To be real this class is not as hard as people make it seem.If you do all of your journals in detail with more than two examples,guaranteed A on them.The book is very much needed without You'll Fail.The essay quizzes are kind of hard but if you go back over your journals and have a good page of notes to use during the test Everything will be bueno!

This teacher is very strange, and she makes it very hard for you to connect the literature to its deeper meaning. She only teachers what was going on in history during the time period and leaves you to discover the deeper meaning. She killed any confidence I had in literature.

Nice personality but HARDEST class I have ever taken. All of her tests are essay tests and you BETTER read the assignments if you want to do well. She does require you to do everyday journals which will help your grade. If you are wanting an easy A don't take this Class because it is very difficult. SHe expects you to know the material very well.

She's really interesting to listen to and I really liked her personality. She assigns a lot of reading, but if you just do it, it'll be alright. Doing good in the class just depends on how seriously you take the reading. If you do it, you'll pass. If you don't, you'll fail. She made class interesting and I'd take her again.

You do have to show up for class and do the work that is assigned. While the tests are challenging, as long as you study and ask question in class you should have no problem passing. Dr. Thompson is easily my favorite professor in the English Department, and she makes class extremely interesting. I highly recommend Brit Lit II,or any class really

Class is challenging, but you have to show up and actually put forth an effort. Don't sign up if you want an easy A in English-- she's better for English majors who want to learn. Hilarious to talk to, but she's seriouswhen it comes to doing your work. She's tough, but it's totally worth it if you have a desire to learn.

It's hard only if you're not listening. IF you don't read then your screwed, but if you do read, and listen to her lectures, and get a little involved in the class, its totally an awesome one. I love Thompson, her eccentric personality makes the class way more interesting than I could imagine any other teacher excelling in.
