Dr. Allan may seem scattered, but there's a method to the madness. I found that his unconventional teaching style somehow improved my retention of the material. Attending his class is no chore; he's easily the most entertaining lecturer I've ever had. Be careful visiting him outside of class. He'll talk your ear off.

He is the best, I wish he could teach all my classes. He writes everything you need to know on the board and reviews everything multiple time so you have a good understanding since it's a somewhat complicated subject. It's very easy to learn from him and he is highly entertaining to listen to which makes class go by fast.

As long as you show up to the lectures this class is a no brainer. He goes over the material very clearly and makes sure to repeat information multiple times. He isn't much for working worry technology but is always good for a quick laugh. Would definitely have him again!

He is scatter brained. He cannot write or spell and is very criticizing of you if you spell a word wrong even though you can't read his sloppy writing. His tests SUCK and I would not recommend him

I thought Dr. Allan was great. I am not a fan of biology and he was able to teach the material in a way that had me engaged and excited to learn. Who cares if he does not like technology. The class is not easy, you have to work at it to do well but college is not supposed to be easy. Also, when I had a problem he was very understanding.Good Prof.

I really don't like him. He is scattered, cannot write or spell. He is extremely unorganized. Class is only mandatory for tests/quizzes/lab. If you miss these he won't give you points or let you make it up unless you were dying. He doesn't care if your grandma died you still have to be at class. No technology allowed. Not a good teacher.

He is a pretty good teacher and makes the material interesting. However, he is completely insane, tells morbid stories, and has declared war on all technology (including scantrons, we took one quiz on folded up pieces of paper towel!). If you think you might struggle in this class don't take him.

He's really excited about the subject- it almost rubs off on you. I had no interest but he has made the class interesting. Go to class, take notes, and study them! You should do just fine. He was very helpful when I had to miss some classes. Make sure you follow his directions on filling out tests/quizzes. Use old quizzes to study for tests!
