He knows his stuff when it comes to regulations, but hardly anything about flight. The only thing that will keep you awake is listening to his ridiculous stories about landing in Class A airspace, shutting down KBOS for a dusting of snow, and dodging a madman with an AK47. Any incoming Averett aviation freshmen... you have been forewarned...

Good public speaker, and worth a little respect for his work ethic. When I took it, I watched the paint on the walls fade. Hard to take notes from and follow. Hesitant to take a different class with. Very business like, almost awkwardly. Not personal with students at all in small enviroment. Office is cluttered use e-mail!
