You know everything that is expected up front. Tests are scheduled, all lectures are on a power point that you have available from the beginning. First day of class he asks what type of tests you want.. multiple choice, short answer or essay. You even get to vote on how many tests you want during the semester. Gives extra credit too.

Was a great class. I thought I had a good handle on computers. The info Tim shared showed that I still have a lot to learn. Like one of the other raters said, he is a stickler on attendance.

Class was a good intro into computers. Topics were current. There wasn't any books, but PowerPoint and the web was used to supplement the lectures.

Tim Brand is knowledgeable, but teaches you from old software. When you go to class, his lecture is kinda dry, and he never leaves his seat to walk around to see how you are doing unless you have a question. Test are easy, but grades them harshly if you don't give the answer he is looking for and the answer could be right.

Tim kept things interesting every class. He was easy and made sure you knew your stuff before you left. Only complaint I have are his quizes. They could be a bit more fair and he could tell us a bit more of what's on them other then the topics. And the exam was only 20 multiple choice questions so make sure you know your stuff!

Tim tries to keep things lively, he's got an odd sense of humor! But pretty funny. Lectures are clear and all in a powerpoint. He is a stickler for attendance though...oh and DON'T be late.
