Started semester w/ 34 students, ended w/ 8, only 1 guy got an A. Hard grader on tests. Tests are long with very little time, little room for error. Near the end of the semester I couldn't even get to the end of the tests even though I knew the material. Corrects random problems on hw so you HAVE to do them all.

He's boring. He's one of those people that really love math and was always good at it. The homework assignments are OK but his test have nothing to do with the homework. If you're just learning this kind of math, then you should go to tutoring. If you've taken this kind of math before, then it should be okay. Test are somewhat challenging.

Prof. Wilson is very helpful and knowledgeable. He tries to answer any questions the students have. Homework is mandatory but he also does the homework as the students so that's fair. The problem I had was that the homework was different from what he taught in class. I had difficulty trying to make sense of how to complete the homework.

Mr. Wilson is a great at teaching math, IMHO. I wish I would have had him in high school, but in college his course was rough. Be prepared to spend at the very least 10 hours per week on home work. The class dwindled in size as the semester progressed. The workload is heavy, and Mr. Wilson will almost never make exceptions or adjustments.

Hint:class started with 25 & ended with just 7 students. He has a serious flaw on his grading system. HW are required to be completed but he only grades 2-3 prolems worth 4 pts. & sometimes will have problems different from what he explained. Exam problems are long & tedious which is fine, but think fast or run out of time.

Big Daddy is a math junkie. Unquestionably wise. A sage and scholar. He would help me outside of class with serious problems like the collatz conjecture and traveling salesman problem. Crystal clear explanations on the material and is fair. Tests are reasonable and not open notes. TAKE HIS CLASS! Great for those seeking his knowledge.

I've been with Wilson for two classes and he's a great teacher who's brilliant and challenging but makes things crystal clear. He's very fair in grading, and if you have a problem with the homework you can ask in class. Note: if you need help with a problem, be VERY specific about what your having trouble with.

If you want to see homework solutions you have to go to his office to check the answers. This is a waste of time for someone who works full-time and goes to school. He is not very accomodating.

Stay away! He enjoys showing off his genius to lesser minds. Don't answer questions in class. He likes to put down the smart kids. He makes up his own problems for hw. Then he only grades 2-3 of them. Most of the time you won't know if you are doing it correctly until the exams. Then you're screwed because your grade is based solely on the exams.

i took his class and had a really hard time understanding the lessons. He assigns homework that he may have not covered at times and skips a few steps in solving problems assuming that you already know what to do. The guy is brilliant but needs to be more thorough with explaining the material he gives his students.

Mr. Wilson was the best math instructor I've ever had (1988). Although I was a fraction of a percent shy of the "A", I'd still put that B+ up against any other A I've gotten. He challenges you and is extremely fair in his grading system. He gives you lot of opportunities to raise your grades with extra credit work. Outstanding educator!

A great teacher. I had him for two math classes. He gives out a lot of homework to do, but it helps understand the lesson and pass the exams easier. He finds shortcuts to find answers on a solution quickly and effortless that's not included in the book.

Not great. Tests are extremely confusing. Hes one of those teachers that gets a kick out of giving challenging problems in hopes people dont get it so he can explain how easy in his mind it could have been. He collects hw as attendance in the beginning and hands out hw at the end. So if you miss a class, you miss 2 hw assignments.

He has homework from the book and his own problems. He's a really great teacher. I would love to take his Math class again. He explains it very clear. If he feels the book explains it harder he'll use his easier method. If you have any problems, ask him. If you just do your homework/assignments you should have no problems in passing his class.

the good. i like the fact that he is funny and that his teaching straight forward and he gives little tips on making math easier..but, he is very strict on everything else. there is a quiz everyday that you cant make up! even with a doctors note! also his grading is yikes! he never gives half points! if its wrong its wrong! VERY HARD CLASS

Professor Wilson is the best professor I've ever had. Throughout my entire education experience prior to his class, I SUCKED at math. Taking his class was the best choice ever because he is crystal clear at explaining math. He puts himself at the STUDENTS' level and looks at things from YOUR perspective. I recommend him 100%. He's the best HCC has.

He's very professional and helpful(when asked); if you study his lessons. His lessons actually helps you to understand the math level your in. He starts with fundamentals which helps with the harder problems. It's worth taking his class if your moving on to Math100 and higher.
