Professor Garner is so nice. He is one of the coolest professors I've had. My major is criminal justice and I struggled in his class the most. There weren't very many points available besides exams and his exams are tough. The questions were extremely specific statements out of the textbook. He makes you work hard for your grade

I like him. He's very friendly and respectful and likes when students talk - so just read the chapters and make sure you participate in class discussions. He gives quizzes over every chapter, but they are not too hard. The exams are basically the quiz questions. I enjoy coming to this class and listening to his stories. He has a lot of experience.

GREAT professor! He made me actually want to go to class b/c the material and the way he presented it was very interesting. Plus the outside assignments were fun too and help if you aren't a strong test taker.

It was a hard class, the book is needed, to supplement the material in the notes, which he provides. Just a warning!!!! He is talking this semester about taking points away from students who dont show up for class!!!!

Don't bother with the book, he puts notes on blackboard. He's a nice guy though, I still talk to him when I see him. The class can be a little dry, but he likes it when students talk. So if the class debates and talks, it's not so bad.

Overall nice guy, makes class more interesting with open debate, yet leaves you wondering whats on tests. I had him for two classes and got a B+ in both so if you do the work and pay attention as well as go to class you will do well.

This is one of the nicest profs in the world, but if you ask him to help you with test taking he will tell you to memorize EVERYTHING....makes passing tests very diffult
