Very knowledgeable about course subjects; specifically war related topics. However, he is an extremely difficult grader, especially with papers. He only gives two tests a semester (a midterm and a final), and the study guides for both tests are very intense, but will help you pass the tests if you administer them. Overall, excellent professor.

I have never worked so hard in my life. He literally said on the first day of class that the work required must be of publishable quality for an A. He was not kidding! It was totally worth it! I have never learned so much in my life. The readings are dense, but brilliant! If you can survive, you will LOVE this his class! He is a genius!!
