Miller was a good professor, but sometimes when teaching things he would take the long way around. Instead of just breaking down the lesson and saying "This is how you do it" he would beat around the bush and teach a more complicated way. He did curve test grades, which was a huge plus and was available outside of class during his office hours.

He's a sweet man who loves math. He loves to graph things on the calculator as well, some days getting a little off track. You don't need the book, just come to class and take notes. For tests use your homework and notes as a study guide. Make sure you have a graphing calculator for this course.

He is a great professor if you come in with the knowledge and background of math before hand. He gets very off topic but he's funny and is always willing to help! Great teacher!

Dr. Miller is extremely helpful and understanding. He spent about 6 hours outside of class helping me this semester. I would recommend him for MAT116. Dr. Miller does not give out a ton of busy work, just the right amount, and he gives partial credit on tests which helps tremendously. Dr. Miller is also very humble. :)

WORST PROF EVER!!! I am a math major but this guy is a joke! He spends most of the class talking about stuff that has nothing to do with the material. When you ask for help or explanations he just does the problem for you he does not help at all. I learned nothing from him! In fact, when I asked a question in class he made fun of me.

I am one of those that hate math, I don't understand it. If you are like me, this is the professor to take. Won't need the book b/c all of the work is done online at coursecompass.com. He does not grade test harsh, gives partial credit & gives pointers on what is coming up on tests & final. I passed this class with a C.

Had him for advanced calculus and he is a great teacher. Did a very good job at explaining very difficult concepts and love the fact that half of his test were just definitions and the rest question with very few "harder" proofs which for a math major is a great thing to hear. Plus he always had really interesting stories to tell.

I think this professor should not be teaching. He speaks over your head, and doesn't seem to care if you are lost. I was lost the first week, tried to talk to him after class, and he was no help. I had to drop the course. If you have a difficult time with Math, I would strongly suggest not having this guy as your professor.
