I LOVED this teacher when i took him in accounting and was so excited to see i now have him for finance! He is tough, but does a lot to help you learn the material. He takes the hands on approach by letting you work out the problems together on the computer which really helped me. I can't believe all these negative reviews! I highly recommend him.

Comment:

Teacher gave good explanations in class, but the homework was setup differently than the problems we discussed in class. It was really frustrating at times, and sometimes made me question my choice of going to school. The class gave you a headache because of the lecture being long and only one break fro 3 and a half hours. NEVER AGAIN. EVER.

Comment:

I took Managerial Accounting which is very dry and somewhat clear cut by nature. Professor Stephan is very helpful if you have questions, and will stay after class until you understand the problems. It is a very tough course and you must keep up with all of the work. Keep up with the work and discussions and you will be fine. He's also a nice guy.

He is an odd one for sure but he is very willing to answer questions and try to help. He stuck to the material in the book but made it understandable and offered lots of examples. With a good effort his class is easy to pass. He is willing to work with those who are willing to work.

Whoever said he is better than Mueller is wrong. He is average teacher but no where near Mueller. HE WRITES EVERYTHING IS CAPS AND TAKES FOREVER WHEN HE IS WRITING ON BOARD. His Tax class was horrible! He didn't know many IRS rules. If you learned Tax class from him and end up getting Tax job, your *** will get fired on first day on your job.

You have to remind him of stuff and then he covers it.You will do well in his class if you have a "great knowledge of accounting," prior to taking his class. You have to ask questions, if not he automatically assumes you know the material. What a teacher huh. Devry doesn't have too many accting teachers,he's 1 of the few choices @ Devry. Go figure

He is a very helpful teacher who doesn't give a lot of homework. Moreover, his tests and quizes are very easy. He is far better than Prof. Mueller. You can actually get an "A" if you put the neccessary work for his class.
