SHE IS GREAT! I literally love this teacher. She great at lecturing and the DO THE STUDY GUIDE! Its just like the test. Pay attention and take good notes and you'll get an A

Comment:

One of the best professors I will ever have. Your final grade is solely based off of your score on 3 out of 4 tests - the final is essentially optional. No homework whatsoever. Do the study guides, read the sociology reader, get an A. She is so sweet and engaging and teaches extremely well. She doesn't grade attendance but her lectures are AMAZING!

Be engaged! Her lectures are open to discussion, her experience is awesome! She is funny and loves current events that can relate to sociology. Bring your own examples, participate in lecture and you will learn really easily. I love this professor, took her twice for Sociology and Minority studies. You will not be disappointed. Tests lecture.

She is awesome! Book is necessary for readings, and what was not covered in class. As long as you show up and take notes, there is no reason not to pass. She gives the review for all tests on first day of class. Took this class in a 5 week mini and was very easy and fun. Lectures are great!

i took her for an online 5 week summer class. get ready to work and do not leave everything for the last minute. 5 discussion boards, 4 papers and 1 extra paper that is extra credit and 10 quizzes. you will need 2 books and it is a lot of reading. it is not hard as long as you keep up with the work. her grading is clear.

She was very nice and always willing to help. But the class was heavy on "mini" papers and discussion boards. Plus quizzes over chapters. You need two books for the class so be prepared to read. No tests or powerpoint. You have to log in every one-two days, otherwise you will fail. She makes it clear to give you something to do every other day.

Work was a bit unclear at first, but definitely do-able. You basically have to write essays for 4 assignments, as well as 5 much easier discussion points, an extra credit assignment, and 10 quizzes. Didn't really learn much, and prof's feedback felt rude and rushed. She meant well, she just seemed too busy & nothing was properly taught beforehand.

She helps students a lot, she gives extra credits for every tests. 4 tests total , and she drop the lowest test. She very caring , helpful, her lecture is interesting.

She was such a tough grader! You HAVE to read, there's no way out of it so if reading is not for you then this entire class is not for you. Don't forget about papers, a lot of those too! Made it out with a B.

Take her Sociology ONLINE!! It is the easiest A I have ever gotten. 10 quizzes (Which are open to take since the start f class and due at the end of the course) 5 discussions posts. 3 Essays. 1 extra credit assignment. Very easy if you simply do the work. 2 textbooks you must buy.

You don't need the book. Its at the library and she gives you a review sheet for for each test. Just be there every day, listen, take notes and you will be fine. Also, what she didn't cover on the review sheet an easily be googled and studied for the tests. She is a good professor and offers extra credit as well. I loved her class.

Currently taking her online. DB's aren't that bad but you have to read. You have 4 essays and one extra credit essay. No exams since you have 4 essays to write. She is a tough grader and can be rude. I asked if I could turn in my assignment a day late due to a family emergency and she said no I could do extra credit. Must purchase 2 textbooks

I really liked that she opened up all assignments from the beginning and allowed you to work at your own pace. She had clear due dates and expectations. There were a few papers to write, but not hard if you follow directions and answer questions and cite your work. The quizzes were per chapter which I also liked. She responded to emails same day.

Comment:

Took online. Easy A. Don't need the books, just go to the library for a couple readings and the rest you can google online. Discussion boards are a snap and usually don't require responses, only initial posts. Deadlines for assignments are so spread out, you can do the whole semester at your own pace. Definitely recommend her online class.
