Chu's accent scares some away from taking his class, but after syllabus day, you'll be used to it. He is always making his students laugh. His class is VERY lecture heavy. Be sure to take notes. He allows one sheet of paper to put notes/formulas on to use for tests and quizzes. Purchase the financial calculator and familiarize yourself with it.

Chu lectures pretty much nonstop throughout the semester so attendance is important. He gives announced quizzes and exams throughout the semester and he curves the exams. While the subject matter was difficult to me, Chu makes it as manageable as possible. He really tries to help his students.

Chu is a good teacher, but you must pay attention during class or you will not do well. Take notes so you can make a good cheat sheet for the Quizzes and Exams and you will be fine. Learn how to use the Finance calculator and your life will be alot easier! I would recommend him.

Very easy if you apply yourself. He allows cheat sheets & goes over material very well. Must study tho so you have an understanding to go with the equations. Flexible grading. I hated the business calculator & should've practiced the functions more b/c that's what caused me to miss a lot of questions.

I liked him and his class. Your main assignment is to manage a online portfolio and apply theory to your methods in two papers. the quizzes are easy and the test are fair and come mostly from the notes. He has a slight accent but its nothing compared to some of our science professors.

Accent can be tough but as you get accustomed, it is much easier. I'm hearing impaired and didn't have problems. If you do have a problem understanding something, he typically writes it down. he's a great guy and will explain concepts to you one on one. however the accent is very difficult to follow. the material taught, is similar to the quizes yet not similar to the tests at all. Hard tester, really, but good guy. You learn a lot.
