Hardest thing I've ever done. Pchem 2 is required for chem majors, so good luck and be prepared to study your butt off and still understand nothing.

If you work hard outside of class, it's not too hard to make an A. I hardly paid attention in lecture, didn't take notes, and sometimes I didn't go to class. But, I studied like crazy at home and used his practice tests to make an A. The final exam is insanely hard but just try hard during the semester and you can afford to do bad on it.

Very hard teacher. Tells you you're going to good and then laughs and changes his mind. Had an A then he gave the final which was a national standardized test and dropped me a whole letter grade...And the average for that test was a 35. Avoid if at all possible!

I loved chemistry before coming into his class. I tried extremely hard but still got a D. The tests are standardized but I could have done a lot better if I could have understood him at all. He ran through notes and never gave good examples. He is just one of the teachers that is at Tech to do research not teach.

albu helps those who help themselves. he gives tons of extra points to those who show up to lecture and participate in his clicker questions. he curves tests and gives bonus points over the vocab. he gives you the previous semesters test to practice on with an answer key so finding old tests really isn't a must

The guy has pretty weird accent, but you get used to it AS FAR AS THIS CLASS'S GONE(he use this a lot). Exams are pretty hard but if you study in a class and do all your hw your avg grade will be 50s or high 40s perhaps. And if you do all prelectures, attend the class and do clicker questions and do well in your lab, your 50 will come out as C at t

Gen Chem is a hard class, but Albu is happy to help if you go to his office hours. He's a nice guy and really cares. His quizzes are hard, be sure to do the old quizzes and memorize vocab. At the end he curves the quizzes and there is an overal curve too. I ended up with an A. I love Albu! I wish he taught Organic.....

The best professor for general chemistry in my opinion. he gives more work and he expects more out of students. he is the best at preparing students for the hour exams, which are the same for every section. for chem 1110 or 1120 you need a tough professor to help raise your exam grade. dr albu will be helpful to hardworking students.

I loved Albu. His accent is fairly thick, but its nothing you can't understand. I got an A in there, but a history of H.S. chemistry is almost required for a good grade. Very helpful, though, and sarcastically funny. I am taking him again for 1120.

If you care about your studies, Albu is one of the most caring teachers at tech. I was impressed at how much time he had spent for class. This isn't a hard class at all. People who say so should either have a dumb major or haven't taken upper level classes. I like his humor. Do your work, and it's more than easy to get your A.

Albu's class is really hard, but he is fair. He does honestly care about his students, however. If you go to his office, he will do his best to answer any questions you may have. However, be prepared to work very hard to pass, much less do well in the class.

Overall good professor. Quizzes are hard. Exams are hard. Final grad=curve. I had a mid C toward the end and final grade was a B. It all depends on your understanding of conceptual information

I never really had him in lecture, but I sat in on his lecture like every day. He is very heavy on formulas and clicker questions. From what I've seen, his quizzes are, indeed, kinda rough, but still fair. Also, it prepares you for the exams. plus, idk WHAT the guy right under me is talking about. I worked my butt-hole shut and got a B. chem=hard

He really wants you to learn and do well in his class. If you try then you should be fine. His quizzes are hard if you don't study. He gives a review before each one. You get used to his accent easily. Over all he's a pretty good teacher. He will curve if everyone does badly.

He's a pretty hard teacher. I think he tries really hard, but I still don't really know how to study for his tests. He wants you to put forth the effort, then he'll try to curve you at the end if he can
