I love English and Creative Writing, I always have. But this teacher made me wish class was over the second it began. He spends most of his time talking about himself. The only thing I learned from this class is what I learned from my reading. His grading is based on his opinion. I would not take a class from him again.

He is an absolutely brilliant man, and I recommend him to everyone I encounter. I learned so much, and I value his insight tremendously. I will be taking more classes from him in the future. He is brilliant, and although it is a lot of hard work, it is absolutely worth it at the end of the day.

This is for the Honors class. Petersen is amazing. He really teaches English in a way which makes it more than about simply writing. The class is very discussion-based and there are some big projects involved. I highly recommend this professor. He'll make you work and learn. FYI: he grades you against yourself. In case you wondered.

Dr. P can be so difficult to work with. I put in several hours to each assignment but got a low grade because he thought I wasn't trying as hard as other students. Very subjective and ambiguous, not to mention on the self-important side. He has interesting things to say, when he feels like it.

I took his Honors English class and if you are ready for a class where you go because you want to learn, it's a great class. He's kind of ambiguous, but it leaves room to be creative. So if you are a robot and just like to follow orders, don't take it. I liked his style of teaching, even though it is very different from other professors.

His class would of been a lot better if everything wasn't so confusing. I tried through out the year to make appointments with him, or go in during office hours and he was always busy. He hardly wrote back on e-mails.He can be a fun guy, just hard to deal with.

Although I never took DR.Petersens Class, he did take my engagement photos for free, so that was cool of him. He seems to be a really level/reasonable person and so I would recommend his class based upon the fact that most of the proff's I have dealt with are not reasonable and he is. Plus he is super cool.

I love Dr. Petersen! He is so funny and a great guy! He really cares about his students and how they do. His writing assignments never have limits, because he understands what it means to just write until it's done. I'd recommend him to anyone! He has his littls quarks, but he's a great professor that will give you a fair grade.
