Comment:

While Todd is knowledgeable on his subject matter he lacks in his "connection" with students. He's belittling & refuses to see both sides of a question. Not to mention the homework hardly relates to the class & is given with little to no instruction. The best part of this class was how fast grading was done- at least I knew how bad I did right away

Comment:

Would not recommend taking this class. By far my least favorite class out of any class I've ever taken. The class is unorganized and he does not go over what will be on the test. The homework is extremely difficult to understand and seems pointless for the class. When I asked him about a homework assignment he just made me feel like an idiot.

He is by far the most unorganized and worst teacher I've ever had. Everything you're graded on is from online quizzes and hwk and it's all timed. The labs you do aren't graded and score is based on the lab portion on the tests which everyone in the class fails.

Comment:

This guy is the most un-organized teacher ever. He is always a chapter behind and makes you read 40 pages out of the text book and then take a quiz. He doesn't really talk about the topics in class that are in the text book and that's why he makes you read and quiz on it. This class is literally super boring and prepare to fall asleep in class.

By far the worst professor I have had in my life. Doesn't cover what is on his tests in class and then complains about the bad grades. Not all that he thinks he is.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ! Very vague grading scale for homework. Goes off on tangents during lectures. Does not focus on content that is on the test! In lecture, only briefly touches on the content in the test. Read the chapters even though he doesn't say to do so. Thinks hes funny, hes not. Arrogant in class. Uses lectures to display his "knowledge."

Expects you to know homework without explaining it. Map tests are ridiculous and makes you memorize 100 different things on a map then uses 20 of them and he doesn't number places on the map, he puts numbers scattered around so you don't know which number to put even though you know where it is.

TERRIBLE Professor. If you can avoid taking him, DO IT! Told us everything covered in lecture is on the tests, got to the first test and over half of the questions were from the book.. Studied from the book for the second test and questions were things he BRIEFLY mentioned in lecture. Map quizzes of 30 places but gave list of 90 to memorize.

Comment:

Tends to talk in a monotone during lectures, but try to pay attention and take notes. The only homework is weekly D2L quizzes (sometimes more than one) that he almost never reminds you about, so stay on top of them. Tests are in two parts, one for lectures and one for labs, and require knowledge beyond what is taught in class. Read. The. Book.

Tests are pretty tough. He gives a lot of map tests, and 10 online quizzes. no papers! tests are based on notes, not lecture. He's definitely challenging

Just terrible. Don't take. Class averages on the 14 assigned D2L quizzes are 50%, Lab exam averages are 50%, class exams are 70%. Does not respect students, frequently calls them out. Not organized, ppts don't match lecture notes or materials from books. Exams and quizzes are very very in depth over the materials

This class isn't even fair. If this guy honestly expects me to memorize 90 physical features across a geographical area, he's out of his mind. He doesn't seem to understand why students aren't doing well in his class. It's because he requires that they memorize a criminal amount of useless information in a class that doesn't even matter. Avoid AAC

He is not as bad as this page will lead you to believe. Yes he is not an easy professor, but it shouldn't be a shock to college students to have to work to do well in a class. He only gives a few assignments. Weekly quizzes were based directly on the reading. If you read the text, take notes, and study effectively, you should have no problem.

map tests are really difficult you have to study constantly or be wonderful at memorization to get a good score on those, he talked kind of monotone and it was really hard to gather up what he said. If you have to take his Human Geo. class make sure you study the maps and READ the book, because he doesn't cover everything in class that he tests on.
