Comment:

A little unorganized and not very prepared sometimes. He made a lot of mistakes in teaching. 4 tests and a cumulative final make up your entire grade. Tests are very easy. He didnt explain very much so it might be difficult if you dont have math skills or understanding of it.

Comment:

Dr. Will is a great person. His dry sense of humor never failed to get a smile in class. He uses Mathematica to teach his lectures, which at first may be overwhelming, but the graphics it produces are incredible. The homework isn't graded, but you need to do it in order to succeed. I would take him again, but I would work harder next time!

Comment:

Dr. Will is awesome. He is one of the best math professors/teachers I have ever had. He wants to help his students succeed and will make time to meet with students outside of class and office hours. He is also a lenient grader on exams. There are quizzes between exams where you can earn points back on exams by doing the quiz correctly. TAKE HIM!

Comment:

Dr. Will is one of the best math professors I have had. He always gives a chance to ask homework questions in class and has frequent office hours. If you have never taken a calc class before, you may struggle just because there is some difficult concepts to understand, however I you reach out for help he will definitely provide it.

Comment:

Don't be scared away by other bad reviews. Professor Will really cares about his students. He's really lenient in grading and will find a way to give you the most points possible. Do all of the assigned homework and you will get an A (quiz and exam problems come from the homework!!)

He doesn't take attendance but it is mandatory, he covers about a section a day. He gets a lot of basic math wrong while working through problems in class. Having said that, he does go through homework every day, and it is never graded. You will have the occasional quiz but he drops the three lowest scores. Overall a good guy, average professor

This class was very difficult throughout the whole semester. His style of teaching is very old school, so unless you like doing problems hand-written (rather than calculator) don't take him. With this being said, I loved Prof. Will. He has a great sense of humor for the class, and does his best to make the class as interesting as possible.

Avoid at all costs! I got A's in Calc 1 and 2 but didn't pass his class. His lectures are confusing because he goes them very fast. If you ask questions he responds with a question, which normally made the class more confused. He also uses Mathematica, which he doesn't explain how to use. DONT TAKE HIS CLASS!

Uses mathematica files for presentations which go too fast sometimes but they are all online for review later if you miss something. Tries hard to make things clear but doesn't always succeed.

Once I adjusted to his use of Mathematica for lectures, the class wasn't too hard. Lots of homework, but usually graded on completion. No feedback on what you did wrong on homework or exam problems, but does go over answers in class. 4 tests, including the final, counted for 85% of your grade, so need to do well on those to get a good grade.

A bit confusing at times, he's the type of person to think out loud, but it you really pay attention during lecture it is easier to follow along. The downside is he doesn't put grades up on D2l so you will have to keep track of all your scores. He is always willing to answer questions during class. Study, ask questions, use tutors and you will pass

AVOID!! He skips around in notes, goes very fast and does not let you work out an example on your own. Very hard to follow and for a math class, that's even worse and heaven forbid if you miss a class or two for circumstances you don't have control over. Tests are complicated and minor things get marked off. Worst professor I've had.

AVIOD! Worst class I have ever taken. He would not show up to the beginning of class or would sometimes forget to even come, but heaven forbid you miss a class. He would skip around in notes so it would make no sense at all. He would change the date of assignments but would not tell you. He'd make you feel like an idiot if you ever went in for help

One of worst professors I've had. Hes a nice guy but he has no concept of how to teach. Breezes through lectures on his computer, goes way too fast with examples that aren't helpful. He also told me to stop coming in for help and do it on my own.. I struggled a lot in Calc 3, but got As in Calc 1 and 2. I would NOT recommend him! Makes it miserable

A lot of people here were complaining about his use of Mathematica, and before the semester I was worried about it. After a couple weeks however, I completely adjusted to his style of teaching and even though the course is tough and I'm not receiving the best grade, I don't feel as though it's because of him. Comment:

He seldom made eye contact with the class while instructing and never explained his methods in a way I could understand. 10/10 would not recommend. Beware of WebWork assignments. Their due dates vary and he never says when they are due.

Dr. Will is a Math professor, so of course his class is going to be hard. However, for not knowing anything about statistics, he really taught me a lot! He has plenty of office hours and gives chances to ask questions in class. Also, he is unintentionally funny at times, so that lightened things up in the class!
