Great professor. Seemed like it was going to be a tough class at the beginning, but if you do your work and stay involved with discussions, he is extremely reasonable. Would recommend taking this class online to anyone,

Dr. Farley is a good professor, but he tries so hard to not let an online class "slip into the background of your classes." That he gives so many assignments, readings, and activities it causes the class to completely dominate your schedule. For a non poli-sci major this is very stressful, because the subject matter of this class is not my focus.

I really enjoyed/loved this class overall. It's A LOT OF WORK. Do not take it if you're expecting an easy gen ed. I would only take this if you want to challenge yourself and you love learning. There are 6 books you read and write papers on, on top of a group project, and INS simulation. Dr Farley is a great professor and loves what he teaches!!!

A wonderful prof - knows what he's talking about, cares about the progress of the students, if quite fair and never too busy to lend a helping hand. I dreaded taking American Government, and yet he made it enjoyable. Heavy workload, so be prepared: if you just want an easy gen ed credit, run away. But if you're here to learn, soak up the goodness!

Farley offers a great deal of information. He makes class time worth it and requires a lot of interesting and helpful reading. His tests are challenging but you will remember the information as a result of them. Take him if you are a serious student.
