Comment:
Professor Gradziel is highly knowledgeable about agriculture. Sometimes that makes his explanations hard to understand, and it's not always to the point. Still, his weekly tests are easy and the midterm/final is based off of worksheet questions. Make yourself a quizlet for it, it's memorization. Don't skip his optional field trips, they're great!!

Despite this class being stupid easy (you can look up quiz answers during quiz...) I still remember a remarkable amount of what Dr. Gradziel talked about. He clearly knows his stuff, and is VERY good at answering questions (esp. the snarky ones, haha). I didn't learn much, but if I'd wanted to I'm certain Dr. Gradziel would've helped me out.

While only a freshman Dr Gradziel has been one of my favorite professors/teachers I've ever had. While lecturing he spins our question back to us, so rather than giving us the answer he makes us work with him to find the solution. Fair grader, and the field trips are awesome! 10/10 would take a course with him again!

Best professor I've had at UCD. Lectures are interesting and relevant to the course. He is a fair grader and just wants to make sure that the students learn. The field trips are great, 10/10 would recommend taking him if possible.

Prof Gradziel is a funny and niceguy and enthusiastic about plant sciences. Short reading quiz every class but they're obvious questions. Lectures can be confusing but he gives you possible exam questions in advance so if you know those you'll be fine. Cool field trips almost every week and you get to pick a bunch of vegetables to take home.

Great class. Really interesting field trips, don't expect to get back on time though. He's an incredible teacher, you learn by doing rather than memorizing.

This class is pretty easy to land an A; as long as you complete the worksheets given at each class (the questions are basically the same as the test) and keep a positive attitude, he'll pass you. The teacher's a little spacey and his instructions aren't always clear, but he knows a lot on the subject and knows how to make a good joke.

Interesting class and material, but not well structured. Very 'free form'/'teach yourselves'. Assignments were easy and all questions from the final are selected from questions on the notes. Prof is really nice and helpful and he is always willing to answer questions. Lots of field trips which were really fun. Go to every class and you'll be fine.

Gradziel is an awesome professor! Short quizzes before lecture (based on reading) and the lecture handouts are the possible midterm and final questions. So, study the handouts and get an A! Field trips are taken every other week and they were all pretty cool. Definitely an easy A.

Class consists of trips every other week. He has clear lectures that won't bore you. Very light reading, one chapter (10-15pgs) tops, and only ONE book is required which is pretty cheap compared to others.

Cool teaching style. Very upbeat and loves teaching. Lots of field trips. Really has a different approach to teaching, which is easier for students, but just as affective because I remember things he teaches.

Good, small class. Most of class time is field trips. And most times, class is dismissed when still have half of class time left.
