He is very straight to the point, on Mondays (except for test days) he is at the MAC Lab for your tutoring needs (he is at the MAC lab on test days to make sure your questions are answered right before the test, assigns homework and you have to read the chapters you're on to get well rounded knowledge of the assignments

Comment:

Taking Prof Grube for stats was definitely the right decision. The material is easy to understand if you pay attention. Not many assignments count for a grade so you have to do good on the midterms and final to pass. Grube doesn't require a textbook really, the text he uses is free online, he even gives you the link. I barely touched it and passed.

Outstanding professor for my first college math class. Approachable and understanding. Responds fairly quickly to emails. Pay attention when taking notes in class. Specific study guides. I took it online and he allowed me to sit in on some in-class lectures when I was not understanding the material.

My Favorite Math Professor, I learned a great deal from him. He is very thorough and methodical. Pay close attention to his lectures and take notes on his on board notes to help you with your assignments. If you work hard you will pass.

Prof. Grube was great but a few notable complaints: 1. Don't take him online. 2. Get ready to use other resources besides the book provided. 3. Ask for help. He will give it. 4. Do the work. This isn't a class you can cram the night before on. Plan to study a few hours daily. 5. You will need an extra software program, roughly $35.

don't take this online.you definitely need this in class.exams are made up of 99% of the worksheets given in class.the 1% difference being the "situation" or "context" of the problem.gives solutions to the worksheets.good at explaining concepts. sometimes goes too much in depth. I hear that the other stat teachers' give easier and watered down work

While this class is pretty easy if you take the time to study and learn the concepts, attending lecture is futile unless you already understand the problems being discussed. Tom seems to do more of an overview of math problems than an in-depth analysis. However, if you take it upon yourself to learn everything without help, you can pass.

Mr. Grube is a nice guy. However, not a strong teacher. Was not clear on a couple assignments. Did not have the right test for the unit and so I failed that test because he didn't have other copies. You get to drop your lowest grade but it doesn't help your overall grade much. He wasn't willing to help. Super hard course. Free textbook though.

Horrible experience. The textbook was an incomplete online pdf. This online class was supposed to have the course created online, but he never got around to it. Over the semester, 5 assignments were done through email with 5 more assigned during the last week. The book didn't cover all that was needed. Avoid this professor if you want to learn.

I dropped this class because it was so hard and he didn't help. He tested us on things that weren't even in his lectures. We never had enough time to finish his tests. If you fail one of his tests you might as well drop the class since there's no way for you to get your grade back up.

I'm a dude, I got a B in his class. He's totally impartial and a really nice guy. Anyone who couldn't pass this class either didn't try or isn't ready for it, period. I think it's horrible that people would post such awful lies about a really good professor. I'm guessing, no, I know you deserved the grades you got. Seriously, grow up.

Great instructor! His class is set up where as long as you do all the work, you can still get a decent grade with not so hot test scores. He's excellent at explaining trig, without making you feel dumb. I learned a lot from this class and recommend him to anyone! If you don't do well, you're (A) not applying yourself or (B) just not ready for trig.

His tests were so long and so many of the test problems weren't even in the homework or in his lecture. I felt like he was pretty fair with the grading. However, the tests were just hard to be prepared for. He did allow you to have notes on a few exams. I didn't miss one day and asked a lot of questions and I got a C in the class.

very good instructer. Took stats 3 times and he was the only one who made any sense. funny and gives some opportunity for extra credit. Also only collected homework on the day of the test which was good cause i work.

His lectures are pretty clear, which makes the quizzes and tests easy. Shows you how to do calculations on the calculator which saves a ton of time. Overall, a nice and helpful teacher.

he is really funny... he uses examples that make the class interesting like telling political jokes along with his lectures. he is very good at answering questions too. i recommend him.
