I'm doing very well in Law school and I owe all of it to Doc. Doc wouldn't give up on us and I learned from him not to give up on myself. Doc was one of a kind and you know when you've met one of his students. Years and decades can pass and his influence will only grow. It's a testament to the potential power we all have within us.

"Doc" passed away in 2013. Today - March 23 - would have been his birthday and the world needs to know he was the BEST PROFESSOR and MENTOR a person could have. Doc touched more lives than will ever be known. He was certainly the most formative person in my life behind my parents. Doc - THANK YOU and can't wait to see you again!

Some say that I majored in Dr. K I did take every class he taught while persuing my Political Science bachelor's and I have to say he is the BEST professor EVER!! He is not easy, he does not tolerate laziness, but it is not because he is a mean teacher, it is because he sees the potential in students and pushes them until they reach that potential.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! You have to work to get an A, but if you pay attention in class it's completely do-able. He is extremely entertaining and made a class I dreaded taking very enjoyable. A good chunk of your grade is based off of attendance and participation. Go to class, ask questions, and answer questions. He was fantastic!

Doc is awesome after reading these reviews I am a little shocked. I am not sure how anyone could not love doc! He is hard he grades with extreme detail but he is a great professor. I am not a political science major I am actually not even close but because of him I wish I was!! Great!!!!!

I took this teacher because he had great reviews but after having been in his class I greatly regret it. It seemed he wasnt that interested in us learning the material because every time a student would raise their hand he just looked at them and went on. Didnt seem that interested in what we had to say.

My favorite professor at IUS, I have taken 4 classes with him. Difficult, but amazing, funny, and entertaining. He really knows his stuff and does an extremely good job of transferring his knowledge to students through stories and humor. If you work on the reading and get in a study group, you will have fun in this class. GOLD STAR!

I loved docs class. He makes the subject of political theory interesting. Although he goes into detail during his lectures he makes them fun. This class was very difficult i however got an A in the course. You have to attend the class to understand what is going on its not just an easy A class. Dr.Kotulak is a decent professor. He really knows what he's talking about, and it shows well. This course was difficult; you definately had to work to get a good grade. I barely made an A in this course. The tests in here were difficult, but studyguides are helpful in studying for the test. DO NOT blow off this course - you must know the material.

By far an absolute top ten professor on the entire campus. If you can get him for a class don't think twice. Interesting lectures, easy going, fair grading, easy to listen to, willing to explain something not understood. Absolutely fantastic. All you have to do is put in the effort and you'll do fine.
