Thomason is a great person, but he does not give great feedback, and grades incredibly hard. The whole class voiced frustration on always receiving Cs and Ds and all he said was "they'll get better" but they never did. Not just for me, but for the majority of the class. Take the easier teacher. The stress just wasn't worth it.

Thomason is easily my favorite prof from freshman year. He cares so much about his students and has a ton of knowledge. You have to go to class because there are quizzes most days. There are really no big tests, just tons of quizzes. Definitely take him if you can. He's the man.

Thomason's Media Writing % Editing class is phenomenal! Don't take any other professor! At first you might not know what to do & receive a few bad grades, but that's okay. There are so many point opportunities in this class, you can definitely raise your grade. Listen to everything he has to say because he gives you everything you need to get an A!

Dr. Thomason is a really nice guy and super passionate about what he teaches, however, if you're looking for an easy A don't take his class. You definitely have to work for your grade. He's a very tough grader and EGUMPP is probably the worst thing ever invented. (online grammar course that is mandatory) Love the guy but the class is difficult.

Tommy is such a great professor. He is the kind of professor every university should have. He cares about his students and tries to transfer all of his knowledge (which is a lot) to us. Chances of you getting an A are kind of low I would say, but you will definitely learn a lot, which is the point. TAKE HIM! PLEASEEE

Media Writing and editing with Thomason is WAY harder than most, but he's a great professor. You learn a lot but probably won't make A's. News quizzes destroy your average and are every class. No tests, just quizzes. Egumpp takes FOREVER.

Dr. Thomason is such a great teacher! You will learn so much in his class. If you read the newspaper carefully, study for his grammar quizzes, and do EGUMPP over time, it is definitely possible to get an A. He is such a sweet man and wants his students to succeed. I loved him from the first day of class...it is just fun to listen to him talk.

Great teacher. Spends a lot of class time explain what he is looking for and how a journalist should write. Uses the book for assignments and AP style quizzes. Current event quizzes can be difficult, but won't sink your grade. Worst part about the course is EGUMPP, and Thomason has no control over that.

This teacher has the biggest ego and doesn't teach you. He makes assignments and then quizzes over them. He has news quizzes everyday but is not consistant with which source he uses. Sometimes we had 3 quizzes a day. I wanted to hang myself and ended up dropping. He negates TCU's core beliefs.

The class itself gave you plenty of opportunities to demonstrate your ability, which is all part of Tommy's teaching style. He won't give you a good/bad grade based on his subjective opinion--he'll give you what you earned. And he's probably the nicest guy you'll meet. Be sure to pay attention. He gives wonderful advice.

Media Writing with Tommy was kind of hard BUT you learn a lot and you take everything you learned with you. You dont have any tests just quizzes almost everyday and small assignments to turn in. Tommy is actually really funny and he explains everything down to a T. Highly Recommend.

I LOVE TOMMY T!!!!! He taught me a ton and was quite entertaining. On our first day of class, he said "I'm not going to promise you this will be the most fun you can have with your clothes on, but it won't be that bad." YAH...he's great!
