As a 2015 grad I can say Kelso was THE best professor I had at Iona. His senior seminar class is not a walk in the park like some of the others but if you want to think, be pushed to ask difficult questions and engage in conversations that foster actual discussion then definitely take his class. You will appreciate and respect his perspective.

He's an odd fellow but he's funny. I wouldn't call this class and advertising course, he even mentions its more like sociology. He's a bit all over the place. Grades based on mini quizzes reading based, modules, and a final 10page essay. Simple enough class but not very advertising heavy.

Honestly he really cares about his students and wants you to do well. His lectures are interesting, funny, sarcastic and makes you think. But overall he takes his classes way too seriously and the amount of work is ridiculous. Be ready to hand in a 20+page paper for senior seminar...

Hes really fun and nice. He gives a lot of quiz on the reading though, which could bring down your grade. The midterm is the same each semester which helps and the adv. project is a pain but overall good class!

It baffles me that people at Iona continue to say DrK is a "really tough teacher" when all he expects is that you actually DO the assigned reading and STUDY for the tests. Everything, I repeat, EVERYTHING on your midterms and finals will either be in the mini-quizzes or in your notes. He actually cares about his students and is a great teacher.

By far the best teacher at Iona. His tests are hard but very fair. Teaches the material in a clear manner and gives a mini-review everday. Funny guy and always there to help! Highly reccommend him I take him whenever I can
