Comment:

I had her for half a semester and at first I liked her but towards the end her lectures got longer. She gives homework often and there's group quizzes at least once a week. I barely used my book. Tests are hard but if you study, you'll get an okay grade. She's there if you need help though. If you skip, you'll fall behind.

Dr. Galarowicz is a tough grader and the test are challenging, but she is very helpful and always available if you need it. Expect a group project throughout the semester, as well as numerous microthemes and mastering assignments.

Dr. Galarowicz was absolutely amazing. Although some of the material was challenging; she often offered help if you needed it (Office hours were often changed to fit the students needs). There as also an SI for this class which helped a ton! Normally teaches courses about fisheries and such; however, she did an incredible job! DEFINITELY take her!

Professor Galarawoicz usually teaches higher level classes, this semester she taught BIO 110 and still thought she was teaching a 500 level class. She is a nice person, does powerpoints for class, and has a clear speaking voice. However, she does not curve at all (averages were ofter below 70%), she "prorates" lab, and does not make study guides.

Comment:

Dr. Galarowicz is great! She does occasionally get ahead of herself in lecture, but she's very clear on what she wants you to know for the exams, which are really easy. Attendance is mandatory, she checks with the clickers, but the class goes by quickly. She's very passionate about biology and she's funny too, I definitely recommend her for BIO 100

Helpful, humorous, only bad thing is she reads right off the lecture notes which are also on blackboard so it's kind of boring but attendance is graded so you have to just sit through it. She's a great person

tests are incredibly hard. this class makes me dislike biology. she's nice and easy to understand but alot more work than I expected for a freshman level class. also the fact that I undertstand the TA and lab TA doesn't know what he's doing, this class makes me incredibly angry.

This class is hard, however this is the best teacher to take this class with. Although going to class isn't exactly mandatory, she will hang out some assignments and at least one will be in class so you don't want to miss that! study hard, if you don't understand a concept ask her during lecture or come to office hours. she's very helpful!

Very good teacher tests are a little difficult but if you study hard you should get at least a B on them and she gives a few 5 point quizzes that are pretty easy. Plus she does give like 10 point assignment for extra credit after tests to help your grade.
