Tracy was one of the best professors I ever had at BCTC. She uses many real world examples for her classes that mek them more interesting. TAKE HER CLASSES.

Comment:
One of the best teachers I have ever had. She takes what at first seems like complicated chemistry or math and breaks it down in a way that is easily understandable. However, you have to show up to the lectures to have a chance of getting an A in all of her classes.

Very nice person. Not the best teacher. Lectures are slightly confusing but if you do the homework and journals you will at least do decent. Way too many test and they are tricky. Just be prepared to learn on your own. You won't learn much in class.

*READ HELPFUL INFO* Took 170,180 w/ her recommend you take it, you wont regret it. Do the extra credit when offered, dnt buy the book, use Slader C0m for review questions, buy the access code to Mastering Chemistry @ pearsonmylabandmastering C0m . It will save you about $300. Lectures GO, study after ALOT. Tests are easy but you do have to think.

Knowles expects you to know the materiel before it's even mentioned in class. Notes are all over the place and are almost incomprehensible. Lectures consist only of examples, little or no explanation is given on subjects. I have asked around and she is widely considered the worst chemistry teacher in the school.

Ms. Knowles was great. Her test arent hard and she doesnt try to trick you in questions....everything is straight forward. Im terrible at this stuff and still pulled off a B w/o studying too much. Im taking her for CHE 180 for sure.

I struggled not so much because of her, but because of the structure - only enough time to cover new concepts and work an example or two. The online hw submission deal wasn't working right. Hugely frustrating. The lecture really needs to be 45 min longer so you can go over homework. I hated the textbook.

I did okay in this class but didnt like how it was set up at all. I learn better with structured lessons and notes and her class was very scattered when taking notes. I wouldnt take another one of her classes if I could avoid it. Just my opinion though :)
