Comment:

Dr. Snipe knows his stuff. But is not at all committed to his job. Not only did he take a student's book and did not return it to her until nearly then end, he did not show up to class twice and did not inform the class. He did not give the syllabus until the last day the class met. The only reason I took this class was to get the discount. Don't.

Awful. Just awful. I don't understand how he still has a teaching job. Avoid him at all costs. He is late to class every single day. He didn't even give a syllabus until the 4th or 5th week of class. The study guides are essentially useless. They contain about 50-75 terms and he may only use 5-10 of them. Tough grader and awful teacher. BEWARE!

Incredibly unorganized. Did not learn a thing. Five assignments did not count towards grade only counted as extra credit. Only two official assignments so far and only one and a half weeks left. Finally received syllabus after four weeks. Nice and good person but bad professor.

Came to class late, often. Was not prepared. Syllabus was not clear and it wasn't presented to us until the third or fourth week of class. Doesn't use pilot. Takes forever to get assignments graded or provide feedback.

Comment:

Snipe is one of the most unorganized professors I've had. Despite this, you can really tell how knowledgeable and passionate he is about what he's teaching. We watched a lot of movies and documentaries in his class which were always tested over later on. If you're lazy or bad at memorization don't take his class.

I signed up for the course expecting to learn a lot about Africa and I've been very disappointed. Dr. Snipe is very unorganized. He doesn't follow his syllabus at all. He didn't even have our assigned readings on Course Reserve so we could access them. I would have to exceed way over the limit to describe how horrid Dr. Snipe is. DON'T TAKE SNIPE!!

Has no clear setup for the class. Very few times you understand what he is asking for. Also, he gives an Africa map quiz... All 55 countries including their capitals, spelling counts no word bank. And he will NOT negotiate.

No doubt about it, he is the worst teacher you will ever take, the work for the class is fairly easy, but are you willing to deal with no syllabus for half of the semester? The whole class got it 2 days before the midterm. He seems like a nice person, but he lacks any organization, and seems to pull stuff out of his butt during the lecture

Worst teacher. Messed up my grade so it messed up my scholarships. Difficult and doesn't explain well. Shows up late and takes forever to return tests. I ended up with a B after he said I had a C and took weeks to fix it. Studied a lot and learned on my own. Would not recommend.

Awful Teacher. Did not teach. Left room and was always late. Messed up my grade. Gave me a C and I really had a B. Took weeks to fix this problem and made me late on submitting my scholarships due to the issue with having a C. Got a B from learning on my own and studying alot. Not recommended.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Completely unorganized, rude, technically retarded (a whole movie we watched was blue), ALWAYS late to class and always leaves for the most part of it while he shows you some worthless movie that has nothing to do with the class. Even if you need a credit, don't take this class.

Dr. Snipe may not be incredibly organized at the start but only because he first finds the interests of the students relating to the course and tries to include those topics into lecture. You really have to know your stuff on the tests. Snipe is very intelligent and laid back. If you want a professor who is boring and by the book take someone else

TERRIBLE! just took his Africa test that had numbers spewed about and was completely impossible to read. Had mandatory extra credit that someone else wrote comments on and he assigned a grade based on the comments without reading the paper. Extremely unprofessional, find another teacher if you want organization.

Snipe didn't hand out a syllabus until the day before the midterm. He is very unorganized. Late to class constantly. Doesn't know what he is going to lecture about half of the time.Doesn't respond to emails.Doesn't hand back ANY grades i.e. quizzes or midterm. Changes test dates and due dates constantly because he isn't prepared.No multiple choice!

I thought he was from Africa?? hm. I guess as the elected class pet I can say that he complained about our inability to cram every bit of information and was very unclear. I mean I got away with a B, but with stress rashes and confused head. He was late daily
