He taught one portion of the class (on hominid evolution) and was my favorite we had. Extremely smart and passionate (goes to show as he's now department head). Fantastic lecturer, even non-majors were interested in what could easily have been very boring material. Tests had lots of material, but weren't necessarily hard. I Would highly recommend.

Holliday gets so excited about anthropology that you'll get excited about it too. His class was my favorite to go to just because he was so hyped up about hominids. You're tested on lecture info, not textbook info so if you take good notes on all the species and traits he talks about, then look over those notes before the test, you'll be fine.

Holliday likes to go off on tangents a lot in class so attendance in mandatory. The material for his portion of the class, Intro to Bio Anth, was very difficult because of the amount of material and difficulty. He is incredibly funny and wants you to understand. He doesn't review and you may have difficulty knowing what's on tests.

Trent is a seriously awesome and hilarious dude and makes the class interesting with his humor and obvious passion for the subject. His tests and paper require a lot of time and effort but he's a pretty easy grader and with some effort it shouldn't be too hard to come out with a B+A. He's highly respected as a professor and is very well published

Professor Holliday makes class entertaining and interesting. He is very knowledgable in Physical Anthro as he has published a LOT of research himself. He is very straight forward in what he expects and what you need to do. He is a great professor.

Professor Holliday is a great professor, he's hilarious, and he loves anthropology to death. His class is HARD. Difficult to predict what's on the tests and there is SO much material. If you're interested in being an anthro major, TAKE this class. If you're taking it for fun, stick to cultural.

Really easy teacher, but class attendance really is necessary. Gives a lot of pop quizzes, but they're all pretty easy. All the information is from lectures so make sure you take good notes and/or copy someone elses. Not everything is in the book and the book has a lot of extra info, not really worth buying. Overall, a really awesome guy and class.

Good prof who's actually pretty funny. Tests are _completely_ from his lectures. I could almost always predict what questions would be on the test, so I don't understand those here who say he's tough or tricky - that was not my experience.

I signed up for the class because I thought it would be of some interest with my science background. The tests are on his notes from class which are just lectures and he goes off into so many tangents it is difficult to know what is actually important and what is useless. Holds no reviews and makes learning harder than it needs to be.

Great prof, keeps class interesting and very knowledgeable. Do not bother buying the book. Tests are entirely from the notes, attendance is not mandatory but highly recommended if you want to do well on the tests. Highly recommend taking any class of his.

Dr. Holliday is amazing. I absolutely loved this class. The tests are very thorough -- be SURE to memorize the material presented in class or you'll be in trouble. You can tell he's in love with what he does; it shows, and it tends to rub off on his students. Very fair teacher. Great class. Awesome guy.

He is a nice, kind-hearted guy but most people got Cs. He tells you class is mandatory and it will raise your grade. But I attended every class and he did not raise my grade at all. He doesnt use the book. 3 tests, not too difficult, No Curve. 5 pop quizzes, semi difficult. Must take good notes. Not an easy A, which is reason I took the class

Great professor. He's hilarious too. Wasn't interested in anthro at all before class (needed it to fill a requirement), now is my favorite class. Memorize all class notes and get an easy A!

prof. holliday is amazing. he is so nice and tries really hard to make sure you really understand what is going on. the book is a waste of money, don't even bother buying it- you have to go to class though, because his lectures come from his class notes. so much fun- he's always good for a laugh.

Dr. Holliday is an awesome guy. His classes are funny and interesting. He will see you for help at any time. Grading is based on 3 non-cumulative tests only, that come straight from his lectures, book is useless. Doesn't take attendance, but will determine your grade. In other words, easy A if you go to class.

Mr. Holliday is a nice and funny teacher who is passionate about teaching anthro. I dont know whats wrong with everyone. The course is not difficult at all, all you have to do is attend and know how to take notes. I didnt use the book unless i skipped class. Tests are straight from his lectures (so go to class and write down everything he says).

I don't know what everyone else is talking about; this was the easiest class I ever took at Tulane. If you know how to take notes, then just study your notebook and you'll get an A. Attendance is not required but will help your grade. Don't bother buying the book. Take good notes or copy someone else's in class you trust.
