Nice guy but hard to pay attention to. Talking about drafting views and tolerances for 90 minutes gets boring. The CAD aspect is a lot more interesting. A lot of homework that is annoying but usually not hard. He tells you what will be on exams. You will learn a lot of relevant things in this class if you pay attention and work which is refreshing.

Lectures will probably put you to sleep, but that's not his fault, it's just the content. The CAD part is interesting, and he is extremely helpful one-on-one with any questions. Study exactly what he tells you to for tests and you're set. You need the book for like 4 assignments but it's useless outside of that.

at any given time 2/3+ of class was asleep or not paying attention during lecture. class material was boring and not interesting. dont take class unless its required. ozsoy is sometimes unclear and hard to understand and his lecture material is usually cryptic. its hard to find the important material in his lecture.

I'm dissapointed with the class - really wish we used different software. However, the class is a requirement for MechE's. Ozsoy is a good professor. Lectures are boring, but showing how to draw specific views and use drafting software isn't much to work with. Ozsoy is pretty clear about what will be on exams and doesn't throw any curveballs.

Dr. Ozsoy is awesome. He was my professor for mech 2 and he was a really cool guy. He isnt hard to understand at all. I think freakin ignorant people are the ones who dont understand him. He has flexible office hours, fair grader, and kinda looks like cristopher walken.
