I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this class and how well I did in it. Dr. Barker is amazing at making complex or dry material easy to understand and interesting. I will be taking her again next semester for another class. Do the extra credit she offers!

I love professor Barker and her lectures. She is super helpful and knows her stuff. Be sure to attend all the lectures and take notes! Midterm and final tests aren't easy but if you study beforehand, you'll be alright. Oh and use the extra xtraredit opportunities she offers!

Best professor I've ever had. She is so witty and so knowledgable with her classic UK dry humor. Definitely go to class and LISTEN. Most of what the test is on is what comes out of her mouth, not the slides. Highly recommend.

Dr. Barker is one of the nicest professors I've had thus far. While the content of the class is dry, Dr. Barker makes it clear and easy to understand. There's no textbook in this class, but you do have to print out a workbook. Assignments are due every week and they each take about an hour. You have to go to class and study to pass her tests.

This class was a little hard, but if you go to lecture and study a little before the test you should be able to get a B! Lecture is somewhat boring, but she tries her best to make it funny. Do the homework!

She is a great teacher. There is not need to buy a textbook, she provides a packet online with assignments. Attendance is mandatory. Only two tests midterm and final(50 questions each). She provides very good study guides. Her tests are not tricky, very straightforward. Gives extra credit opportunities. There were about 10 assignments throughout.

She is tough, and there is no negotiating. She really wants you to learn what she is teaching, as you should. She is sweet, use her office hours and ask for help if you need it, she will give it. I am not gonna lie, her midterms, and finals are nightmares.....study!!!

Only 5 homework assignments. 5 online quizzes. Barker takes attendance every class lecture. Take advantage of the extra credit she gives (she'll give out a handful). Both the midterm and final are in 2 part exams (lecture/reading). She's very helpful and understanding. Easy A as long as you pay attention to her lectures & keep up w/the reading.

Prof. Barker is extremely helpful. I read in other comments about the Grad students teaching the class, I guess since budget cuts that wasn't true this past class. We only had 5 homework assignments which were pretty helpful and were pretty much assigned help bring your grade up. Overall great class- you will learn something!

Don't need to buy a textbook, just download the workbook on blackboard. Homework every week. Exams split in two parts. First part is based on reading the other is based on lectures. Both are multiple choice. Go to class and take good notes and do the homework every week. Should be a breeze.

Easy A if you pay attention in class and her power point notes. She does give a study review guide before each exam which is extremely helpful. We never discussed the textbook in class, but make sure you're on top of the reading on your own because the 2nd part of her exams are strictly from the textbook.

Mrs. Barker is one the nicest ladies ever. She is super helpful and gives you everything you need to know during her review session. She is always willing to help you personally. The class is not hard if you are willing to put a little effort into studying. HIGHLY recommend her! She is AMAZING!

She is extremely helpful. The class itself is not that exciting but she does her best to make it more interesting. She takes attendance everyday. You do assignments out of the workbook every week so those take a bit of time. Lots of extra credit is offered in this class. The TA I had was not very helpful, but Dr. Barker is!

Lectures are SUPER BORING! and the Grad students are the actual teachers. its really easy to get at least a B in this class without trying real hard! you print the text book and follow the excercises everyweek, when you meet face to face, you dont have to type anything. also there is TONS of extra credit offered in this class

Lectures are boring and she tends to go on and on about a subject more than she needs to. But the class is easy and she is always available if you need help. Tests are from lectures. Her wording on the tests can be confusing, but overall they are easy.
