Awesomefully booring with 25 years of experience that ruin your time. She know math well because she is a Phd in mathematics. Good in giving handouts. She use statgraphics in stat 1123 own her own and sometimes bother to explain. Dislike office visits by students even at office times. might cares about students. But good ;)

Comment:

She is very knowledgeable but generally has only one way of teaching a topic so if you don't get it then you need to read about it or talk to someone else. I truly enjoyed having her as an instructor but found the pace slow at the start and rushed to fit everything in at the end. She scales tests so you may have an inflated mathematical confidence.

I took MATH 1241 with Veda through TRU Open Learning. Her marking was extremely stringent leading to very low grades and she offered no feedback on assignmentstests. Veda is the worst marker I have ever had. I would not recommend taking her unless you are a genius at mathematics. Trust me on this one and stay away from her courses.

Do not take her class! Her notes and lessons are very confusing and disorganized most the time. She is not very helpful... even when she can tell that majority of the class is not understanding a lesson. She'll continue to keep racing through the material anyways. Definitely would NOT recommend taking statistics with Veda

Veda is probably one of the worst teachers I have ever had in my life. She is very good at math, but has no idea on how to actually TEACH the material to students. She expects you to be a statician from the first day of class, and her texts don't reflect what she is teaching. Very unhelpful. Over 60% of the class failed, this is not normal.

Unclear teaching. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Over half of the class dropped. The rest of them either got a D or failed the class. Exams are nothing like what she teaches. Assignments every week take longer than the week. HARD HARD HARD.

No awareness of who her audience is or how to get people engaged with the material. Out of a class of 30 we maybe had 6 people in class by the end of it, and it was a beleaguered lot at best. If you must take her course, the old learn out of the textbook and show up for the exams might be your best option. You won't gain much in class.

I got an A in this class, but a lot of people I talked to failed. The class got very confusing at times but what I thought helped most was the textbook. Veda is an all right teacher, but she doesn't slow down the curriculum when the class doesn't get what's going on. Instead she makes you fend for yourself.

We had this class in a lecture hall and boy did she write small! The first midterm was really easy (bar charts, interpreting data) but her second midterm was a challenge (residual analysis, correlation, probability). Course work was hard. Veda was average. Nice lady, though.

Really nice teacher, eager to help, cares about the students. But her teaching is all over the place, sometimes it's easier to just read the book instead of going to class. She's confusing and goes too fast, even when she's teaching something new.

Nice lady but horrible teacher. Cannot teach at all. I wanted to use this as a review of Pre-calculus 12 from high school but it was a bad idea. I would not recommend her to anyone who struggles with math as her explanations do not make sense at all. If you can teach yourself this should be a easy class but if not, good luck!

Well, lets just say I learned more math on youtube than i did with this teacher. She is a tough nut, her test are really hard! mostly word problem, which i think most of us have an issue with. But she is the sweetest teacher ever, great personality. If you aiming to get a high mark then i recommend you to find another prof.

Nice woman, seems to enjoy teaching! Too bad she's bloody terrible at it. Tests are very hard and questions do not at all reflect ones gone over during class. Reads the textbook to you in class so if you're litterate then there really is no point going to lecture... Would steer clear if u would like your B- or higher grade to get to calculus.

SHE is the worst teacher ever. She has a good knowlege of math but she cant convey it . Not helpful in or outside class for help. Reading text book is much better than going to her useless classes. Exams area fair , but she is such a bad marker !!!! I would not recommend her to anyone ! unless you want to fail .

She's confusing, and expects you to know everything on the first day of class. Drop this class if you get in. She's super hard. LISTEN TO ME.
