Comment:

Hardest and best class I have ever taken. Seshan is VERY intelligent and generally an amazing human being if you take the time to get to know him. Just don't be lazy - push yourself. Just like the real world, go above and beyond what is required and you will be rewarded :) Stay away from 1.6!! (unless you're good with numbers)

Dr. Seshan is the MOST INTELLIGENT person I have ever met. He does everything he can to TEACH and provide his wealth of knowledge and experience for others. He knows how to read people- he knows if you're BSing or not, he knows whether you worked hard or not- he knows all the little facts you can ever imagine. If you are willing to learn and grow

It has been almost 2 years since I took Policy with Dr. Seshan. Seshan relishes lecturing, so be attentive, and retain what he says. If you want an 'A,' be a compiler. Seshan despises BS. Know your stuff. Write succinctly. Speak up when you know you're on the same wavelength as Seshan. And prepare WELL for your oral examinations.

Professor: Intelligent, Helpful, Difficult, Hard Working. Class: Toughest Class I took. Learned more than any other class. He does pick favorites, but it is generally based on your participation and willingness to go above and beyond. If you volunteer and participate without arguing with him, you'll do fine. DO NOT QUESTION HIM! You will fail!

Dr. Seshan's class is by far the most rewarding yet challenging at Pepperdine, for any major. If you keep a positive attitude you will emerge more disciplined and better at presenting in front of people. Most useful class at Pepperdine.

It is a shame this 'professor' is still teaching. whether you are lazy or not, get on his good side and you'll get a good grade. if you research the material outside of class you can learn from it even though this professor does not really teach. I got a good grade, but I feel sorry for some other students who were not his favorites...

Easily the hardest class at Pepperdine. To make it as bearable as possible don't compile or volunteer for section 1.6. Seshan is somewhat helpful, but definitely serves the function of shaping you into a corporate tool. Don't try to be creative, otherwise you'll just make more work for yourself. Stick to the cookie cutter format and you'll be fine

I was one of Sehsan's favorites, I got the easy questions on the midterm and final. I am not deluded and saying he is intelligent, experienced, etc. On the contrary, the out-of-date concepts in this class are useless. The book was written in the 80's! Put your monster project in front of a board of directors and they will say cut it to 20 pgs please.

Picks favorites, is unfair, and makes your life a living hell. There are a few select people he will like. Those people may say good things about him because they get on a high -> "OMG! Dr. Seshan actually likes me!" Don't be fooled, the rest of society is screwed. He creates unique mid-term/final for each student, based on how much he likes you.

Never done that much work before but when it was all said and done, well worth it. He is one of the brightest human beings on the planet and if you work hard and just do the right thing, you'll be fine. Making excuses and taking short cuts will land you in hot water real fast. Complainers and the faint of heart need not apply.

Worst class I have ever taken. This man should not be teaching - well, he doesn't really teach just assigns work. IF you take this class, you will have to research everything the prof says to try to make sense of it. Senior seminar has nothing to do with the major. It's aweful. Words cannot describe my utter loathing for this class.
