Comment:

Dr. McCall knows her stuff. The material is challenging, but she imparts invaluable information for future teachers. Definitely one of the most useful classes I have taken in education. Do the readings, show up and participate, and put some effort into your papers and you'll be fine.

Comment:

I love Dr. McCall, but she drove me a bit crazy at times. I certainly learned a lot from her, but expectations were sometimes a bit vague and so are the tests. Don't take her sense of humor personally. She is the type of professor that will always have your back, is always willing to talk, and whose office is open long after your gone.

Absentminded and opinionated to the point of offense. Did not provide a lot of value to me, other than anecdotes and absolutes. Absolutely no support when I got ill, in fact threatened to flunk me. I had to get my advisor to run as an intermediary. Instead, gave me a C+ though I did every project, test, and completed all hours of practicum.

She is not the professor for everyone. When the projector was down and she had to just talk about her notes which led to me and a few other people leaving with no notes because it's so hard to follow her! She is sarcastic and funny at times, not a bad teacher at all, just hard to follow and a little absentminded.

I was in her intro to education class which was team taught, but she's amazing. She's also my advisor and I love her! She is so enthusiastic and always willing to talk to you and help you out! She is so funny and she keeps you on your toes. She expects a lot from you, but her class is far from impossible!

She is a very kind woman. I had her for the interdictory class, so she understood we basically knew nothing, and worked with us. She is a pretty easy grader--the midterm is touch, but thats about the only assignment you have to worry about getting a bad grade on. Also, she's a little disorganized. She loves teaching and wants you to love teaching!!

Dr. McCall is definitely intimidating, but if Secondary Education is your thing she has a lot to offer. She's very busy so expect the class to fall behind on the syllabus and the class to get extensions on assignments.

I thought that for all of her talk Dr McCall was very unprofessional. Seminar was often held even though she was admittedly unprepared, and generally did not start on time. We never once discussed the required reading. Seminar was a huge disappointment when we were all already so strapped for time.

Honest woman...she'll tell you what's on her mind and you'll learn the info. Unfortunately, she's so busy, that sometimes you really do feel like you're only getting a piece of her. She plays favorites...so if you're least on her list, you'll be last on her list to be seen or heard. Do you your work, and stay on her good side!

Knows her stuff and can intimidate you sometimes when you mess up, but when you do something really right she tells you which is always nice. She's definitely not one of those teachers who will never say what you should or shouldn't do- she asks for exactly what she expects. no surprises. Suskind is the perfect foil and they make the class a blast!

Nede! What can I say? I hated her before I took 204, but she kept me sane in a class geared toward elem. ed. She's really understanding but doesn't take any crap. She called me out in class for not paying attention- that hasn't happened since middle school. Awesome. She's a strong black woman! :)

Nice, helpful, caring, kind woman. Just don't mess with her. 204 is a very fun class, they read to you and sometimes you get to color, but you also have to do some real work. The Educ grading scale sucks. A=95+, A-=94, B+=93, etc.

nicest person ever. don't mess with her, but if you try hard, she'll love you. she knows her stuff and she's hilarious, and she adores her job and really cares about her students. always ask for help, cuz she loves to give it.
