Her lectures are pretty much based off of her own research which is incredibly interesting. Very enthusiastic when lecturing. She is also pretty approachable although she may not seem to be. If you're really into marine biology I would recommend this course with her as a professor.

I found it interesting to read some of the negetive comments about Verena on here, I thought she was an extremely pleasant and kind lady, who seemed to really care what her students thought. Her notes were simple, but included everything she tested on so it was easy to know what to study. Tests were fair, labs helped with understanding. Recommend.

Great prof, really knows her stuff! So inspiring, has so much real life experience. Very knowledgeable, has many videos and photos in her Powerpoints to enhance what shes saying. Awesome class, very relaxing and you learn alot.

I find that she creates an atmosphere in the lecture that is more relaxed and un-stressfull. She knows her stuff first hand from her own previous research which really adds to the quality of learning. A very interesting prof

OMG, could this woman be any unhappier? They say there are no humour sections in feminist bookstores, and "Purina" is a living example of why this is sooo true. Lighten up honey, and stop being such a rude and graceless person.

This teacher obviously does not enjoy teaching. She thinks she is too good for her students and the University or something. Makes people feel stupid for fair questions. Will make very rude remarks to the class and it doesn't even phase her. Horrid!
