He is a really wonderful professor, but this class is very hard. Some people don't think it's bad, but that's rare. MOST students struggle. Several HW (worth 100 pts) and 4 tests (200 pts each) - 3rd is the toughest. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS. He is EXTREMELY helpful and nobody goes. The class is certainly doable, but you have to put 110% effort.

Great professor, really knows his stuff. Lectures are extremely helpful so go to those if possible and make sure you read EVERYTHING and get ready to study for hours on end every week to pass. Exams are very hard but very doable if you put in the work. Wish I had him for all of my accounting classes.

Professor Smith is a great teacher that takes hard material and presents it in a way that everybody understands. I personally think that this class is over-hyped in difficulty. A "B" is definitely possible if you put in the time and study the in-class examples. Just make sure you have a solid and good foundation of ACG 2021 before this class.

Bottom line you have to read and be prepared. This course is the second part to ACG3131 so expect the same level of difficulty. However Professor Smith is concise and provides great examples in class to understand the topics. Read, go to class, due to the case study and you will pass!

Mr. Smith is a great instructor for Intermediate 1. He teaches everything that will show up on the exams. The class is over-hyped in difficultly. If you have a good foundation in Intro Accounting, attend class ,complete all the homework, LearnSmart , and do the practice questions, you will get an A. Put the time in and you will be rewarded.

I would not have been an accounting student if not for Professor Smith. His in-class examples are exactly what you will see on the exams. He does not try to mislead or trick you like so many other accounting professors at UcF. He cares about his students and wants you to do well. TAKE HIM if you can!

Mr. Smith is awesome! I took him for 3131 and will be taking him for 3141 this semester. Here's the deal for 3131 you have to put in at least 3 hours a week on Wiley HW. If you put in the effort you will get the B needed to get into the program. GO TO CLASS and try your best to participate, he has a very dry sense of humor but you'll love him.

As a weed-out for accounting students, it is not an easy course. However, Prof Smith was able to present the material clearly and made accounting more enjoyable. The homework was tedious but it really helped to study for the exams. Not the easiest exams but there were extra points added on to 3 of the 4. Taking again for ACG 3141.

Professor Smith was honestly a great Teacher. Very clear-cut syllabus comprised of 3 tests and noncumulative final and 2 different sections of HW. Really simple and laid back, Extremely caring and is really there for you in the right moments. Makes sure never to miss the Orion Hw and honestly try your best on the normal Hw and you should be alright

I never went to class and managed a B by reading the textbook and doing the in class exercises. The exams are curved which is really awesome. No extra credit though.

Professor Smith is really a great professor. Intermediate ACG 1 is a hard class, thats the bottom line. But he really tries to make the class understandable & enjoyable. I would take him again in a heartbeat. You have to put in the work to get the good grade, but he will help you along the way. Definitely recommend him.

Great Professor, he really gives opportunities to participate in class which makes the material more clear. If you go to class and do the homework tests are not that bad. He gives a study before each test, just go over each point and you will do just fine on the test.

I love professor Smith, 3131 is a hard class and should not be underestimated but his teaching style is the best imo. The tests are from the department so they can vary in difficulty. He prepares you very well for the tests, you have to put a lot of time and effort in this class no matter what professor you take. Do everything and a B is possible!

Professor Smith is an exceptional teacher. His class is tough, but if you put the work in, it is doable to get an A/B. Would definitely recommend taking his course. He puts hard material in layman's terms and makes it easier to understand by putting it in real world context. Definitely take him! :)

Professor Smith made the content of a challenging course easier to understand. He worked through accounting problems that had different degrees of difficulty step-by-step, preparing us well for homework, exams, and the real world. There were no surprises on exams, and extra credit was offered by completing extra Orion work. Would recommend!

ACG3131 is already an extremely hard class, however I feel like he made it more difficult. I am a teachers assistant for an accounting class. I know my stuff, but when he explained it I got totally lost. I would ask questions in class, and he told me he didn't have time to answer them, but they're important. He gave me my first B in accounting.

Good Professor. He explains everything you need for this class. He gives class assignments, and extra credits along with for exams. If you don't like to go to the class, then don't take him. This is a hard class, so you will need all the resources he is giving to pass. This is the best selection for this class.

It's a hard class and I am a chronic skipper. That said, I did pass this class with a little bit of study effort a week before the test and attending class whenever I could be bothered. I'll definitely take Smith again for 3141 because he was very relaxed and gives the students the tools to succeed without hovering, demanding perfect attendance.

Throughly enjoyed Professor Smith's class and was very pleased that I decided to take his section for ACG3131. This class is definitely not easy but he did a fantastic job at putting the material into layman's terms. He also gave a lot of examples that related to the material we learned in class. I would definitely recommend his class!
