Alright yall Dr. Yockey is NOT that hard. I was dreading her class after reading these comments but ended up with an A+ in the class. The study guides are extremely long but if you know them, the tests are beyond easy. She doesn't throw any curveballs whatsoever. Plus she's hilarious. And keep a lookout for her super intense yellow bike

Dr. Yockey is the nicest professor at Furman. Yes, so she is intense, but she is so dedicated and enthusiastic that it doesn't matter. Those expecting a PE class think she sucks, but this is college so get real. All of her students become extremely health conscious. Great professor and great person!

not as bad as everyone says she is. she has make her tests not cumulative and is not as serious about the exercise log anymore. her tests are straight from the study guides so just memorize them. very enthusiastic and willing to help.

Okay, she is just like Miss Frizzle, only class is not as exciting. REALLY sweet lady, not really a hard class but I guess another prof. would probably be easier. She makes you keep a log of your exercise which is a royal pain but tests are a breeze if you know the study guides.

Difficult but fun. Her tests are incredibly difficult often using graphs and charts from the text. She is very specific and views all who take the class as majors. However she is a very nice person and easily approachable. Just a tough grader.

She is so cute! Remember Miss Frizzle? That's her! (only minus the crazy lizard!) Study the study guides she gives you...basically, if you can memorize them you'll make an A on every test--which are cumulative by the way. She takes workouts seriously tho!

Yockey is a very nice, devoted teacher. That being said, don't take this class if you want an easy A or you don't like to run. HES-10 is supposed to be an easy class, but Yockey is probably the most difficult (only because you have to work out a ton). While other classes did Yoga, we ran trails. Grades are based on numerous things (mostly on the 3 easy tests).

HES 10 can be a very fun and very easy class. Dr. Yockey is not conducive to to be being fun or easy but it is possible to get an A here. Suck up a lot, act interested. Avoid if possible, there are too many great HES professors to waste time on an average one.

She is the nicest lady I have ever met! Pay attention in class so that you can catch her crazy comments. She isn't as hard as people say-just study the study guides before the tests and come to class and workout days and you will make an A.

If you want an easy A, do not take her. She's nice, very willing to help, and is sincerely interested in your wellness. BUT. There's a 1.5 mile run and a 12 min swim test at the start and end of term. Also, her tests are hard with nitpicky questions, although she grades fairly. Know the study guides! I pulled an A- in the class, but worked for it.

Sweetest little evil lady i've met. Doesn't test on material in lectures, slides, book. Get someone else's study guides from previous classes to pass. Tests are bad, lectures boring, but she really does want to make you healthier. Very accommodating. work out a lot (lots of running), but not that bad. Very sweet lady. Take this class w/ caution.

She's such a nice lady and cares so much about what she's teaching. This class requires a little more work than other HES classes, but is totally manageable. Tests aren't bad if you do the study guides and memorize them. Don't hesitate to take her class!

One of the harder HES profesors. That said, I got an A and I didn't do too much work. The main problem with her is just that she's really hardcore about making you work out. Her tests are a joke b/c they come straight from the straight from the study guide. You do have to study a little though.

I got an A, you can too....however you have to work pretty darn hard. She is very boring, tests on unimportant details, and is known to refuse to answer questions regarding the tests. Going to this class was painful and shell let you out late everyday of the week but you can still get an A with work
