Worst professor Ive ever had. She may be funny and know how to have a conversation but she doesnt work with students at all. Her grading sucks. She adds random assignments that arent on the syllabus and wont tell you where they fit in. Her exams are crap. Her short answers are not! Her research is stuff she googled or stuff students said. Bad

AWFUL- Avoid her if you can! Not approachable. Grades are based on her liking your personality. I've never been in a class where students talked about the professor (badly)behind her back but worked very hard to tell her how wonderful she was in class. Second worst class/ professor I've had at Stanislaus.

If your opinions do not agree with hers then it will definitely reflect in your grade. Tough grader and will nitpick your assignments or presentations. Unfortunately, if you're a comm major/minor/concentration you cannot avoid her.

If you dislike group work, I'd take a different course. Two MAJOR projects were group projects and you're not allowed to have group members from your first group be apart of your second group. Never used textbook in class, required to find supplemental material online. Hard to follow at times. Be sure to take notes and ask for clarification!

Dr. Harvey is amazing! she wants you do more that surface thinking which is hard for some people. Many people don't like the work she assigns because they aren't used to her teaching style which requires you to be reflective but that is what shows that you understand. I have her for three classes this semester and I can't wait to take more.

Worst course & instructor EVER. It's her way or no way at all. Her syllabus is pointless. Never used the textbook. Better write down EVERYTHING she says during her hard to follow lectures. Her criteria for assignments & group projects are VERY unclear. Went the whole course not knowing my grade & she does not give point values on anything!

Loved the lectures, hated the way she grades. She grades on pure opinion. If it does not match with hers, you are considered wrong and will be marked down. So prepare to argue "your opinion" to something that agrees with hers if you want a decent grade.

I love Professor Harvey. I took this class simply because she was teaching it. If you actually want to go to college to learn something, shes the professor who will teach you. She is passionate about the research she does. She is not unreasonable in anything she does and will help students any way she can. I will miss Professor Harvey.

Lacks ability to give direction. Received excessive emails changing assignments in this class, the class structure, & due dates. Assignment were chosen by "senior staff" who had no more experience than anyone else and given -24 hour timeframe to complete. Had to drop the class. Then found out that comm dept students avoid her classes at all costs.

If you don't like to speak in class, don't take Harvey. Her classroom style is to facilitate discussions by calling on students who don't speak often. She knows her stuff, but has a dull personality & awkward stare. Tests are a combo of lecture/text, and she expects short answer responses to be exactly as worded from her lecture. Shocked I got an A

Dr. Harvey is awesome. She is there to challenge you before you get out into the real world so take her classes. They're great experiences. She's always there to help you too if you need it and very understanding if you have a legitimate reason for missing class or being late on an assignment. Can't wait to take her again!

I dreaded having to take this class but ended up loving it. Harvey had us doing a really cool service project. We didn't just read a book and memorize stuff for tests. I wish more teachers would think of useful projects that make a difference in the real world. Harvey is awesome!

Harvey really knows her stuff and asks great discussion questions. She helped me when I attended office hours. One of my best college classes ever!
