Smart dude, but he can be boring at times. Try to go to class as much as you can because this was easily the hardest class I took during my first 3 years as an EE major. The textbook is 100% necessary, you will not do well without it. Extremely tough grader so don't rely on any partial credit. DO ALL THE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS!!

This guy really knows Controls very well and if you pay attention in his class, you will come out as a smart control engineer. He teaches with a practical approach and his lectures are amazing. Also his textbook is very self explanatory. I would suggest to take his assignments very seriously so that you perform well in the exams. Tough Grading

You'll leave his engineering class with a major in political science. He doesn't explain things easily, and is quick to anger over confusion. His tests are challenging and he will not prepare you well for them. He is a intelligent and successful controls engineer however he does not convey the subject well (vague, doesn't finish examples, etc.)

The hardest yet most rewarding course taken in the Electrical Engineering program up until the end of junior year. You will work, and I mean WORK for your grade, but if you do put the effort, this class will expand your knowledge beyond your wildest imagination.

Despite the mistakes popping up in his textbook and in-class problem solving from time to time, this guy is really the class of EECE. If you pay attention in class and invest yourself in the homeworks, you will learn a lot of real-world material. He is smart, funny, ultra-conservative, and you will come to see that he CARES about the students.

This guy really knows controls, and if you choose to pay attention, you will also come out of this class a smarter engineer! This class requires a lot of hard work, and while your end grade may or may not show for it, if you really try and invest time into it, you will LEARN. This guy is what I always imagined what a PROFESSOR should be.

One of the best professors out there teaching one of the most difficult course material out there. His tests will really show your level of understanding of the material. You won't just be able to cruise by in the class by being able to answer a few textbook problems. You have to really invest time in understanding it. It's actually quite fun.

This is one of the most difficult classes in the EECE Curriculum offered at Binghamton University. I don't know Controls is taught in other schools, but the subject material is not easy. Professor Skormin is most definitely one of the best Professors out there to relay the material. Your grade really shows whether or not you understood the course.

His grading option is the most difficult one that I ve' dealt with.Partial credits aren't not in his mind,full or zeros.By the way,his lessons are really helpful and if you try to do hw and read the book,understand everything in the control world,you'll be fine.The test is getting harder if the class shows some signs of laziness.

It is very hard to do well in his class, hard and long homework. All that said...you will learn more in his class with a C than in any other professors class with an A. Professor Skormin is the best in the EECE department by a mile.

Great guy! Very tough grader, but really funny, teaches very repetetively making learning the subject matter very easy. One of my favorite professors, next to Fowler. Subject matter is very interesting, cool stuff.

A crazy political refugee from USSR, a ridiculously tough grader and is exremely unfair. The man brings in so much money to the school that all complaints about him are thrown out, even the dean ignored a 2 page letter i sent about him. Avoid Skormin at all costs.
