I enjoyed taking business law with Professor Carrafiello - he adds a lot of great legal context to his lectures. You must make sure to go to every class lecture or get the notes from someone else, as lecture material comprises much of the midterm and final exams.

Very knowledgeable in history but doesn't really teach law itself, just the history of it. VERY simple exams - memorize 20 terms and you have an A. Don't need to show up to class other than the review before exams and exam itself. 2 short papers needed on books you don't need to read. No textbook needed. Piece of cake class...

Lectures are like an actual University, you have to pay attention and come up with original notes; there aren't slides or online content. Midterm and Final were the only grades with 20 terms to define in one or two words. There's a 2-page "opinion" paper due with each exam on two books that he assigns. Great class, learned a lot, and got an A

This was not Business Law class. It was History of Law. Nothing to do with today's business. I took much better class in college. You don't need to take any notes during classes. Class before your test he will give you all words he wants you to know for the test. For me it felt like kids' memory game. Otherwise it was very easy and boring class.

I attended one of Prof. Carrafiello's courses many, many years ago going for my Bachelor's degree. I'm now a professor at Albertus Magnus College. Of the UConn professors, I remember well only half a dozen. Prof. Carrafiello was one of them. He was the best. I can truly say that he has had a strong, positive influence on my professional life.
