Dr. McGinnis is an experienced teacher, and will tell you stories and scenarios from her experiences within the classroom. It takes her a very long time to grade assignments and she’s not clear in her requirements. She is not proficient at returning emails or answering posts on discussion boards. Dr. M is my advisor. When I first signed up for this class, she had no clue who I was for weeks. Then I got involved in her extra credit opportunities. I had so much one on one time with her. If you want to be prepared to be a teacher, then take her. She has so much knowledge and advice to offer new teachers. She is passionate about learning n kids

I loved this class! She is my favorite professor! She gives you a lot of information for teaching and tells you how it really is in the real world. I would take her again if I have a chance. There was a little work and she gives you a study guide for the tests!

Ahh...what a nightmare! She is so biased, and downright rude! If she decides she doesn't like you, look out. She will scream at you in front of the whole class. One-on-one, she's ok, but otherwise stay away. The tests are pretty easy if you study, but the class wasn't worth it. Only take her if you want a headache for an hour a day.

Great class. I learned so much from her. We had several tests (not too difficult, but be sure to read the chapters and go to class). We also created a learning center and presented them in a classroom. She is very strict about the centers, but her criticism will make it so much better. She is also very helpful when you have questions or concerns.
