Great & easy class! Discussion-based (you'll be forced to give opinion a few times). 7 papers - opinion/reflection (Diversity, Gender, Reflections, etc.) Doesn’t get angry with late arrival or not doing (rare) readings. Very friendly & often talks informally with the class. Knows what he’s talking about & will open your mind to how things should be

Take him. Took the intro Sociology course as an upperclassman and it was my favorite class. You'll learn a lot without even realizing it. His teaching style is like no other and he will keep you engaged.

Previous to taking this course I had no interest in sociology. The first day of class this all changed. Anderson is the man, the class is discussion based and all grader are take-home papers. He teaches you how to view the world from a different angle. Recommend 100%!

Learned a lot from this class, great professor. No tests, grades are based on about nine papers, (did some day before). Hardest grade was on the first paper. Great class, definitely would take it again.

Very mixed feelings about the class. I loved the class itself and most of the assignments were very interesting, but he's an unpredictable grader and won't always help you out when you ask what you have to improve on. Has horrible email etiquette. You will spend a huge amount of time in the class talking about him which gets old after awhile.

Awesome guy, definitely going to take him for "The Edge." He's the man, all his classes are discussion based; no tests or quizes. Several papers, but almost all are personal reflections and he grades fairly. Really down to earth guy, not very hard but certainly knows what hes talking about. Professors like him are the reason I came to Bentley.

Best teacher I have had yet at Bentley! His experiences, how he runs class, how he can get you to see the world is just amazing. Not a guaranteed 4.0 but its worth a 3.7 or 3.3 to be in this class. No tests, just papers which are easy to write. Just take it, you will not regret learning from a man who can open your eyes.

Amazing teacher. He is an interesting character and really will change the way you look at the world. It is a ton of work though- approx. 10 papers for the semester, but no exams. They do contribute to your learning though. He is a must take for sociology, but be prepared to write.

i took his history of native americans class and was thoroughly annoyed by him in the end. If u dont agree with his every word he will give you an attitude and your grade will suffer By the end everyone said they didnt even mean what they said they just knew how to get on his good side and would BS their way through our ridiculous "book reports"

One of the best at Bentley. Had him for both Native American and SOC of the Edge. 3 5-8 pg papers about your opinion and a 8-10 page final paper about the class as a whole. Easy 3.7/4.0 if you go to class and do the readings/papers.
