The tests were hard becuase you had to memorize at least 40 years for each test and not everything would be covered. He never had an actual grading system for the tests. It felt like the grade was based on what he wanted to give randomly. I struggled to get a good grade in the class.

Not an easy class at all. The lectures are so boring that I just fall asleep and then it comes to the all essay test. I struggled to get a good grade in that class and so did everyone else.

This guy is really boring. I never stayed awake for an entire class. Sometimes I would sleep for 40 minutes. The test is straightforward. The paper is pretty easy but long: 10 pages.

An island of reason in a sea of stupidity. Loved the class, the sarcasm, the anti-Bush rants, and just about everything else. If you just sit there and listen to what he says and take notes there is no reason you will not get an A! Many ppl thought this class was hard, but you just have to listen to the man, he tells you whats on the tests.

OMG!! Rate my professor has failed me! I took this class becasue I love history and he got good ratings!! Yeah..He is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! He knows what he's talking about, but his tests are unreasonable and he gives absolutely ZERO direction. Take him if you love pure lecture and you're INCREDIBLY CONFIDENT in history!

This teacher can talk without breathing, thankfully he also laughs, jokes, and talks about all the funny stuff that no book ever will. No other class has ever had more political jokes, donuts, unusual exam questions, shoes thrown, or 6'4" californian russians than his. Likewise, he didn't flinch when I threw a fireball on halloween. Amazing.

Burdick is great. As long as you can understand sarcastic comments, and listen to what the man says you will do very well. If you are a republican, you should already know that you suck, but Burdick will be sure to reiterate this. Try not to drive an SUV, Burdick is a fan of conserving the environment. To sum it up, he is a brilliant man.
