Walter Hesford really cares about his students and puts allot of extra effort into his class. He can be a little hard to comprehend, but overall I had a good experience in his class. His essays can be tough though.

My feelings about the uselessness of this class aside, Walter is such a mix. He takes forever to clearly explain assignments (sometimes until the class before it's due) and is hard to understand overall. However, he is very nice and easy to work with.

This is the second class I've taken from Walter (the first being ENGL 215) and I hated both of them. He would mumble a lot in class, and he often got side-tracked. Will not take his class again. There's tons of reading for each class. If he specifies a certain book, get that one, because there's usually an extra reading in it that you'll need.
