Her tests are basically regurgitate the whole power point. She is very picky and precise. So unless you like memorizing 400 slides of power points...Also, she is very feminist heavy in her non feminist classes...

BORING. Oh so boring. She has powerpoints directly from the book. Going to class is absolutely pointless. You can't say anything to anybody in the class, even if it's relevant to what's going on, or she will call you out and make you say something to the whole class. Sometimes shes cranky too. Her tests are easy though.

I love me some Dr. Ruffin. Some people don't understand her, but after getting a perfect grade in every class, I don't see what the problem is. Read your book, come to class, study the guide she gives....its not hard people.

I took her Developmental Psych class at Montgomery College for fun and was overwhelmed by her arrogance, ego, and condescending tone. She mentioned on the first day that missing one class would result in the lowering of your grade by a full letter. I promptly dropped the class. She only teaches one graduate course at Hood College.

All of Dr. Ruffin's classes are the same; they may as well be online. All she does is read her powerpoint slides word-for-word without deviating once from them. In my opinion, she's one of the worst psych professors at Hood. She is, however, a nice person. Take her class if you want to be bored as heck but still pass a course with a good grade.

****. ****. Hypocritical. Her grading is subject to her mood and her preference of you. Be prepared to be tested on her own personal political views. She was nice a year ago and now... I wouldn't take her again. Her lectures are a joke. She contradicts herself and usually talks about her personal matters. Stay away from this one. Seriously.
