The best teacher I had at BJ. He is so far the best conductor I have been under by far. He wasn't shackled by the school's sometimes "Don't think critically-just memorize this" mentality that I got in a lot of other classes. He pushed you to do more than you thought you could. My best memories of new "Ah-HA!" learning moments were from his classes.

This guy is a riot. Personality Plus. A smidge on the harsh side when it came to students conducting the class. Never hesitated to completely interrupt one's performance and tell them to "OK, start over and this time, let's be for real". All in all, an excellent professor. A little harshness never killed anybody.
