I had him for EDFL 5900 Intro to field research as part of my Master's program. It was very intimidating at first but he does give clear instructions. Also if you are unsure just email him, he was very responsive and helpful which helped put me at ease. Not a fun subject for me personally but it ended up being way better than I feared.

Doesn't reward innovation at all. Gives a template for every assignment. Best to work in the box he draws around you. Don't be creative, just copy and paste his template to a borderline plagiarism level and he'll love you. Can't write an exam to save his life. Tests you over obscure minutia and asks questions in obtuse ways. 3rd time taking him.

Good professor. A little intimidating at first, but really helpful once you get to know him. The material is challenging but he walks you through it step by step. You will only need the APA book. We never used the Educational Research book.

Dr. Williams is a very classy guy. Hard class, hard tests, but he is awesome just to listen to. He's scary at first but very nice and FUNNY!
