Sometimes he goes on tangents that seem irrelevant to the class, but explains things pretty clearly. Gives 2 tests, 2 essays, & 4 quizzes. The exams are easy if you pay attention in class & study. The quizzes are based on movies so they're also easy. You'll do well on the essays as long as you actually make an argument and don't just summarize

Yan is hilarious! He literally is the cutest little man! He is a tough grader, and he does call on you randomly so be prepared to participate. There is a group project at the end, but if you want a good grade, DO THE WORK. He was knowledgeable about intercultural communications, which was the name of the class. He assigns movies to watch too.

I wouldn't recommend taking his classes. I took two with him and regretted it. He gives two tests and a big project. He doesn't teach in class but expects you to show up to every one. You have to make sure to do all the outside reading or forget about passing. He won't give you above an A- if you don't participate (no matter how well you test).

Difficult teacher. He isn't very clear and his assignments and changes his mind a lot about grading, which is pretty friggin annoying. Midterm, final and a group project make up your entire grade.

One of the worst professor I have ever had at ESU. One speech for the entire semester. The midterm and final exam reviews were the SAME exact sheet. Whatever you do, do not take Speech Communications with him. He's ignorant and can be extremely rude.

Yea ok he's funny, but the fact is he does not teach you a single thing then hands out a study guide for a huge final that you have no notes or information to look at. He never uses the book, does not teach and interrupts during presentations. Not a good teacher, funny to talk to but that is all.

INTRO TO MASS MEDIA. He's probably the worst professor I've had at ESU so far. His tests are poorly worded and hard to comprehend. The material is really easy and mostly commonsense but he makes it 10 times harder than it has to be & REALLY boring. He's hard to understand in general. The best part of the class is his laugh. I don't recommend him.

Once you get by his goofy accent and obnoxious laugh, hes really kind of annoying. Trying to present in front of him is hell. He asks tons of random questions that have nothing to do with material and will do his best to prove in front of the entire class that he knows more than you. he also laughs at things that really shouldnt be laughed at
