I looked at the syllabus and freaked out. He said that we would that the" reading is not bad for this class" but the syllabus assigns nearly 30 pages on some nights. The articles are also hard to follow, eben thouh I am not a good reader. Amount of work is a little UNBEARABLE.

This class is BORING!!! He is a very nice guy and he is willing to help but I could not stay awake. His test are all essay which made them kind of hard. He gives a sudy guide but doesn't follow it. The zoo assign. was a pain because it is very time consuming. His lectures are not easy to follow and you HAVE to take very good notes. Overall D-

Stay awake. I haven't once been able to stay awake the entire class, and there are other people in the class that pass out just as often as me. The tests are primarily based on notes. The zoo assignment takes forever to write up. However if you screw up on the exams he will go over them with you and will help you improve for the next one.

Not a bad class, but the tests were a little hard. Don't just study what's on the study guides because he doesn't really follow them. Also, he takes attendance so make sure that you go to class and TAKE NOTES because that's what the tests are based on. Also, make sure to read the articles because those are another essential part of his tests.

I've taken many classes from Dr. Andrews, and his best qualities are that he is: 1) approachable, 2) extremely knowledgeable, 3) a slow talker. That last one may seem silly, but in a class where you want to keep up on your notes, having a slow talker allows you to write down nearly everything he says! If you want to truly learn, take his classes.

I'm an ANTH major, and I often had trouble staying awake. Still, I have to say the class is great. Powerpoint lectures; just make sure to read the articles and KNOW what they're about for tests. He's a great man, but he just didn't express his enthusiasm. His zoo project was fun, easy, and educational--it made me go into primatology. Overall A-.

I had trouble sometimes following his lectures, but he is really easy to meet with. His tests are slightly difficult, but not a bad course.

Be sure to go to class every day. He's very informative and has only a couple of projects during the semester and one consist of going to the zoo. The exams are based upon everything he lectures on in his slides so take notes. There is a lot of reading but it's usually quite interesting.
