Comment:
Hausman is a decent lecturer. The presentation of material is really disorganized, but once you can organize it yourself, the material is easy. The three tests administered are extremely straightforward as long as you know what is going on in class and do some self study.

Hausman is a nice guy and the class is certainly much easier than other Econ Stats classes. The only issue is that going to lectures actually complicates the material. The best strategy for getting an A is to simply skip class and independently study the materials Hausman puts online. Do this and the class is an easy A.

This class is pretty boring. Professor Hausman is nice and funny but not a very interesting lecturer. The exams are kind of difficult and definitely require some studying.

Hausman is a very intelligent professor that cares deeply for his students and the courses he teaches. His knowledge of the American economy is tremendous, and his lectures are always very informative. Very cool about making up in classes quizzes although he will deduct a few points if you miss the scheduled quizzes.

Worst teacher I've ever had at this school. He reads off of word documents to teach math, and his lectures make no sense. The exams are similar to the practice tests he provides online, but you'll have to teach most of the material to yourself in order to prepare. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

A straightforward class. His exams are very much like the ones that he posts on blackboard. If you study those, you should be able to do well. Definitely an easy A.

Don't bother buying the textbook. If you've taken a prior Stats class, the exams are simple. He lectures off typed notes, and it's useless trying to keep up. Fairly easy A.

Econ stats is fairly straightforward. Professor Hausman puts his notes on blackboard and reading through them 2-3 times/doing practice exams on blackboard is enough to do well. That being said, he was not helpful in class nor an engaging lecturer. I felt as though he put forth minimum effort. Using stata at the end of the course was interesting!

This professor is boring, he types up all the notes, and then says one or two important things in class that no one pays attention to. Those two little things are always what will get you on his exams. the True/False always killed me because of the way he words them, but despite what I have said, he will probably be your best option.

First off, dont buy the textbook. I'm always one to buy the book but when he says you wont really use it he means it. The class was boring but getting a good grade is not that hard if you just study his notes and do practice exams. The grade consists of 3 tests and a few written stata reports. Not the clearest prof but gets the job done

One of the best stats profs I've had outside of multiyear math grad courses. I'm now a popular teaching faculty member and learned a ton of great teaching techniques from him. Caveat: my student experience was years ago, but Will Hausman still stands out as outstanding.

Tests are easy if you do the practice problems to prepare. Has own notes, but sometimes hard to understand, so going to class is important. Don't bother with the textbook. Lenient on homework. Basically just do the required homework and do lots of practice problems for the exams and you'll get an A. Last part of course directs leads into 308.

Going to class, reading the book, and doing the (not turned in) 'homework' is pointless. It is very easy to get an effortless A by reading his online lecture notes and going over the practice exams he gives you the day before the test. Learned a good amount nonetheless.

Least caring prof. I've had at W&M. Grading nearly as arbitrary as lecture and the textbook isn't applicable so it's hard to learn what he isn't teaching but is testing on. Not a positive class at all.

He is very unclear, and its hard to get the hang of the class. Class is rediculously boring - he goes through typed overheads really quickly (don't try to copy them by hand). Tests are fairly easy if you can make heads or tails of the lecture notes -which aren't that bad once you read through them on your own. Nice guy, not really a good teacher.

He's a decent teacher and a nice man, but his expectations were probably a bit too low. Material was interesting, but presented in a rather dull way (lots of overheads). Paper was very easy - a painless way to meet the Econ. writing requirement
